Lush Samples Review

These three samples were random and I didn't ask for any specific ones as I normally do. I have shown these on my Mini Lush Haul post from a few weeks ago and I've finally used them this week. Here's my thoughts about them.

First up is the Ocean Salt Self Preserving Face and Body Scrub
I did say in the my previous Lush post that I've tried this before and didn't like the smell. But I said I'd give it another try just for the sake of it. Well I tried it... and I still hate the smell. The product itself is brilliant, it's more grittier than my favourite body scrub from Lush which is Rub Rub Rub. But I can't get past the smell. To me it smells like stagnant salty water. It's ew. I've just read about the smells that are actually in it and I don't understand why it smells like it does. There's grapefruit, vodka, avocado, lime and more. All of them things I don't mind the smell of. It's strange. But I definitely wouldn't purchase this. Ever.

Next is the Five O Clock Whistle Shaving Cream
I know this is aimed for men to use but I got it in my free samples and the sample pot was filled to the brim so I'm not complaining. I was quite worried that it'd smell really masculine but it totally doesn't. At first I couldn't put my finger on the smell but now I've looked on the Lush website and the first thing that pops up is lime. Now it makes sense it smells like lemon and lime. So I've used it and I do like it. It smells fresh and clean. It smells a little like one of the Dove deodorants but I don't know which one. It does seem quite clay-ish so it has got stuck quite badly in my new razor so I've had to throw it away. But I think I would purchase it but I wouldn't use it all the time because it is quite expensive £7.95 for 90g.

Lastly is the Wash That Man Right Out Of My Hair Shower Gel
Hello my new favourite Lush discovery. This smells so good! I've definitely never come across this smell in any other shower or bath products for. Can't really describe what it is but it's lovely.  I am definitely going to buy this once my product ban is over... Yes, we've decided in my house that we have so many shower and bath products that we're not going to be buying anymore until all of them (well, majority of them) are used up. I'm allowing myself to buy my all time fave Rose Jam shower gel once its released (does anyone know when?) but that's all. It's going to be hard lol. But we could probably open a shop with all the products we seem to have hoarded in the bathroom. Anyway I think this shower gel is a good price at £5.95 for 100g. It lathers so well with such a small amount of product so a little will go a long way.

That's all for now.. Hope you enjoyed reading my samples review! Will be posting again at the beginning of next week sometime so keep your eyes peeled. Thanks for reading.
