So It's a few days into December now, so I thought I'd begin my festive posts with some films I like to watch in December.These are the perfect films to snuggle up in a blanket, with a cup of tea and some chocolate. Nothing better, right?
The Polar Express
I can't believe that this film is 12 years old! I definitely cannot miss watching this at Christmas time. It's usually on tv a lot in December so if you haven't ever seen it then definitely pop it on, you won't regret it! It's such a magical film. (Even though the characters freaked me out a little when I was younger haha)
The Grinch
I remember getting this on DVD one Christmas when I was younger and I watched it almost every day for about a month lol. I was obsessed. Then as I've grown older I've realised that it's so relatable too haha.
Holiday in Handcuffs
This is the perfect Christmas, cheesy rom com. I do like the classic Christmas rom coms like Love Actually and etc but I thought I'd add this one because it is one of my faves and you don't see many people talking about it. If you're a 90's kid like me then this is a major throw back kind of film too because Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina The Teenage Witch) is the lead role too.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
So I know this isn't exactly an Christmas film but if you can't watch your fave Harry Potter film at Christmas then when can you? I'm pretty sure, everyone and their mum has seen this already but I thought I'd just pop it in here.
Chalet Girl
Another cheesy rom com which isn't a Christmas film but... the majority of the film is set in Austria so obviously there's lots of snow! So it's on the right track to be a Christmas film, right? Plus it has such great, feel good soundtrack!
The Santa Clause / The Santa Clause 2: Mrs Clause
The Santa Clause 1&2 were probably my favourite childhood Christmas films. I love them both still and I always love watching them during the build up to Christmas. I couldn't not put them on this list!
Deck The Halls
Let's face it, if it has Danny DeVito then it's bound to be a good film. I only watched this for the first time a few years ago but now I can't go without watching it at Christmas. It's basically the battle of neighbours trying to outdo each other other during Christmas, so funny!
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Not a Christmas film I know! But it's still a really good, magical, adventurous film. It was out around Christmas time a few years ago because I remember watching it lol. It's all about stepping outside of your comfort zone and exploring. If you haven't ever watched this then definitely do because you're missing out on a treat! It's probably one of my favourite films. Ever. (Also it will make you want to jump on a plane and explore all the places too)
