Lee Stafford Academy Ionic Hair Straightener Review

I kindly received these Lee Stafford Academy Hair Straighteners* to try out and review on my blog. Which I must admit I'm still shocked by. The arrived in a very professional, pretty looking box, making them the perfect gift for someone.

The straighteners heat up in just 10 seconds which is very impressive. The temperature starts from 80°to 230°C which I'm pretty sure is more than a pair of GHD's. They also comes with a little card saying what heat temperatures suit which hair type.

Because of the nano silver titanium plates, the straighteners are made to easily glide through your hair with no hassle. They also generate negative ions which makes your hair frizz-free, manageable and shiny.

They have a soft touch feel and they also have grip points, which makes it even easier to hold. Another great thing about these straighteners is that if you accidentally leave them on, they will turn off after an hour automatically. Which is very handy for me, because there's been many times when I've left the house and I'm miles away from home and then think "Did I leave the straighteners on?" and have to make my way back home just to check. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose done this before lol.

I also love the fact that the buttons are on the inside of the straighteners meaning there's less of a chance of turning them off half way through doing your hair. It has a digital display to show your heat settings, which is very snazzy compared to my previous Babyliss straighteners.

They also have a 3M cable which is great! There's nothing more annoying than a short lead and they have a swivel function making it easier to use and move around.

They also have a heat protection guard to protect your straighteners during storage or when travelling.

The straighteners RRP is £79.99 and also come with a 5 year guarantee too!
You can pick them up on Amazon with free delivery.

I really love these straighteners. They make my natural frizzy hair a lot more manageable and smoother. My hair has also been looking a lot more shinier and healthier since using these too. The only kind of disappointing thing I have to say about these straighteners is that I'm finding it harder to curl my hair with them, but it may just be because I was so used to using my Babyliss straighteners to curl my hair. (I'll keep you updated if I manage to master the beachy waves look with these straighteners) But other than that, I'm loving them so far! I definitely would say if you're looking for a good pair of professional straighteners then get these!

  1. I really enjoyed this post, and these straighteners seem great! I really like that they turn off after an hour because, like you, I get SO paranoid that I've not switched them off myself! I might have to give them a try!
