Shills Black Purifying Peel-Off Mask Review

Today's post is a review of the Acne Purifying Peel-Off Black Mask by Shills*.

The mask has been made to clear pores and remove any annoying blackheads, dirt and spot causing bacteria away. The mask contains charcoal which is known to be a great hit in the beauty world. I already own many products which contain Charcoal and I'm definitely a fan.

The mask also contains vitamins and plant extracts to soften the skin and restore a youthful glow and to give a smoother complexion. The formula is quite thick and sticky. It's also really messy to apply so I would definitely recommend using a brush when applying.

Instructions: Cleanse your face and pat dry. Apply medium-to-thick layer on desired area. Make sure to avoid eyebrows, hairline, eye area and lips. Leave for 20-30 minutes until fully dry and peel off, starting from the bottom. For best results, steam the face before using the mask to open pores and finish with a toner after using the mask.

I've only used this on my t-zone area but it does help to remove blackheads and my skin did look a lot more healthier and glowy after using it. It also makes my skin feel super smooth. I will admit, it did hurt a little when removing the mask but it wasn't the worst pain in the world. It kind of feels like removing a wax strip. Also if you do decide to try this product yourself then be careful if you apply near your eyebrows/lips because this mask will remove hair.

If you have oily skin which tends to get blackheads and clogged pores then this should work really well for you! if you have dry and sensitive skin then I would definitely stay clear from this.

Overall I really like the product I use it every week or so to help remove any pesky blackheads and it does do a good job at removing them and giving my skin a healthy glow. I'd say that this product is kind of like a nose strip but in a face mask form, if that makes sense.

If you're interested in picking up one for yourself then they are available on Just Beauty for £7.99.

Also, I just want to add that there is some fake Shills products around online right now. If you already own a Shills product and unsure whether it's fake or not then you can check your product by going to shills.co.uk and selecting "AUTHENTICATE" from the main menu. You'll be prompted to enter the serial number printed on the holographic sticker.
