New Releases From Essence!

Today's post is a pretty exciting one as I'm going to be writing about the majority of the latest product releases from one of my favourite brands - Essence. They have kindly sent me over some samples of the new products and I've also picked some up from Wilko recently too. There are lots of new exciting things like some gorgeous cream eyeshadows, metal shock lip paints, new glowy base products and more... so grab a hot beverage and snack because this post is going to be pretty long but totally worth reading if you're looking for some new, affordable makeup!

First up is the Fresh & Fit Healthy Glow Primer RRP £3.50 which is a lovely, glowy primer and it just wakes up your face instantly. It smells nice and fresh too because of the cranberry water present and it's a great primer to use first thing in the morning. They've also released the Fresh & Fit Healthy Glow Foundation RRP £5 to go alongside the primer. I picked up the shade 10 Ivory which I believe is the lightest shade and it's so easy to blend out and it's a great shade for super pale skin. I just can't believe that it only cost £5 and it's in a glass bottle!

I also picked up the Correct To Perfect CC Multi Benefits Pearls RRP £4 because I've never used colour correcting pearls before so I was intrigued to try them out. They definitely add a healthy glow to your face and if you have clear skin and don't like to wear a lot of makeup but just want to add a little something then you'll probably love these CC Pearls. If I'm having a minimal makeup day then I like to pop on some concealer and use the CC Pearls as a kind of powder over the top of the concealer to add a nice glow and then add some mascara.

They've released a lot of new eye products including the Metal Shock Eyeshadows RRP £3.50 I own 04 Supernova* which is a very unique kind of colour it's a grey-blue colour with silver and gold reflects, it dries down fast so you do have to work quickly but I do really like the formula and I there's a good range of shades to choose from.

They've also released more eyeshadows, I have the Moonlight Eyes Cream Eyeshadow - 03 Cosmic RRP £3* and also the Moonlight Eyes Cream Eyeshadow - 04 Glided RRP £3 and they are both so pretty and so easy to apply and blend. Cosmic is the most stunning purple-brown shade with blue glitter reflects and Glided is a lovely copper shade. You can either use them for a wash of colour on your lids or apply more layers to intensify the colours and believe me the colours really do pop once you've built them up a little. I also am a huge fan of the cute packaging!

There's another new mascara available which is the Instant Volume Boost Mascara - Intense Black RRP £3*. I own a few of the Essence mascaras now and I don't know what they put in them but they seem to work for my stubborn lashes. This one also works for my lashes, it adds length and volumises, it does clump a little but it's not too bad and for the price is a complete steal.

If you want to add some glitter in your life or well, lashes and brows then there's now the Vibrant Shock Lash & Brow Gel Mascara. I think these would be great for parties or festivals (or Christmas time!) I have the shade 05 Copper Up RRP £2.80* and it's very pretty and I like that the wand is on the smaller size so you have better control when applying. There's also a new eyeliner which is Superlast 18hr Eyeliner - Deep Black RRP £2.50* I personally don't like liquid eyeliners because I find them quite hard to use and sometimes they don't get on with my skin but if you're looking a super cheap liquid eyeliner then maybe you should give this a try.

Another new product I really like is the Metal Chrome Blush in shade 10 My Name Is Gold, Rose Gold RRP £3* I would say it's more of a golden highlighter on my skin but either way, It's very pretty and I just love the name, I think this is going to be a staple in my makeup collection in Spring/Summer.

Because my lips have been feeling quite dry lately when I saw the Glossy Love Butter Sticks I had to try one out. I picked up the shade 02 Sweet Frosting RRP £2.50 and it's so nice and comfortable to wear and it also smells like cake which is a thumbs-up from me (lol). I'm definitely going to pick up more of the Glossy Love Butter Sticks! (There's also Matt Love Butter Sticks available too). I've also been using the Soft Contouring Lipliner in the shade 08 Big Proposal RRP £1* with the Glossy Love Butter Stick and you can also wear it alone.

In addition to the Metal Shock Eyeshadows there's some Metal Shock Lip Paints. I have the shade 04 Mercury RRP £3.30* which is a stunning kind of rose gold shade. I've been applying a small amount over darker lipsticks to give off a metallic ombre effect. There's also the Vibrant Shock Lip Paints, I have the shade 03 Red Viper RRP £3.30* and I think it's a great shade for this time of the year. They both smell very fruity which I personally really like.

There are also some fab new nail products including the Brushed Metals Nail Polishes, I have the shade 05 I'm Cool With It RRP £2* and it's honestly one of the prettiest nail polishes I own, it's a metallic blue with a purple shift and I just love it. I'm definitely going to pick up some more from the Brushed Metals Range. If you love glitter then you'll love the Holo Rainbow Nail Polishes, I have the shade 01 Hello Holo RRP £2.80* and it's definitely one I'm going to be wearing a lot around Christmas time which is when I tend to reach for more glittery nail polishes. There's also the Metal Shock Nail Powders and I have the shade 03 I'm So Fancy RRP £3* it is a bit messy but it's fun to use. I like to use mine over dark purple shades to add a metallic sheen. Note: It is quite hard to remove but totally worth it. After applying the Metal Shock Nail Powder you should use the Metal Shock Sealing Top Coat RRP £3* to keep everything nice and in place and you can also use the Metal Shock top coat for other nail polishes too.

Top to Bottom - Metal Shock Eyeshadow - Supernova, Moonlight Eyes Cosmic and Glided, Metal Chrome Blush and Fresh & Fit Foundation
