Trying Teeth Whitening Strips For The First Time...

I'm not a huge fan of my teeth because 1. they are a weird shape and have what I call "frills" going on and 2. I don't have a sweet tooth, I have sweet teeth so many years of sugary snacks and many, many mugs of coffee and cups of tea have caught up on my teeth and they are quite stained. I have managed to get them whiter using Charcoal based toothpastes and also Eucryl Tooth Powder but that takes time and I want something to work a little quicker. So I had already been looking at other ways to whiten my teeth including whitening strips but I was scared about the strips making my teeth become really sensitive. But a few weeks ago an email landed in my inbox about trying out the Nano Intensive Whitening Strips* and I thought I'd take one for the team and try them out and then report back on my blog to anyone who is considering trying out whitening strips.

The Nano Intensive Whitening Strips have been designed by UK dentists and are safe to use. They are priced at £25 and available on their website and also Boots. The box comes with 28 Strips - 14 strips for your top teeth and 14 strips for your bottom teeth. You should use them every day for an hour for two weeks to get maximum results.

Before applying the strips the instructions state you should brush your teeth and let them completely dry naturally. I followed the instructions but unfortunately I just couldn't get the strips in place and found it very fiddly which resulted in having to throw the first set of strips away and having to try again with a fresh pair of whitening strips which was a bit annoying. Also, it does state on the website and box that the flavour of the strips is mint but I just didn't like it at all. To me it didn't taste like mint, it's more like an clinical taste if that makes sense. I also found that taking the strips off wasn't very easy, it didn't hurt but was uncomfortable to do. I was hoping that the strips would be ones which dissolve away like other whitening strips I had previously been looking at.

However, I have only used about 6 pairs of strips so far and I can see some difference in my teeth, even my dad has commented and asked what I've used to make them whiter lol. So yeah they definitely look whiter and I do think that they work but for me, I'm not keen on the application as I'm still finding it awkward. I also really dislike the flavour so because of that I won't be using these again but I do think they are worth a try if you're wanting to whiten your teeth with teeth whitening strips.
