3 New Products In My Skincare Stash

As you may know by now, I’m a total skincare hoarder. I’m always switching out products and trying out new ones to suit whatever crazy things my skin is doing. My skin literally goes from dry, oily to full on breakout central within the space of a few days so I do have quite a selection of products to tackle whatever my skin is doing. Since switching up my diet and eating more greens and fruit my skin has gotten worse (weird, I know). I’ve recently been trying out three products in particular and I thought I would do a round-up post on my thoughts so far.

Firstly is the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil* which I’ve seen many people rave about for a while. First of all, I’m a huge fan of the scent it’s very floral but also slightly fresh. I only usually use a Cleansing Oil to remove makeup prior to my second cleanse. So on no makeup days, I tend to just use one cleanser which is usually my Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. But with this I’ve noticed a difference when I use it both to remove makeup and as a first cleanse on a no makeup day too. My skin looks brighter after using it and slightly glowy. It’s definitely a new fave and I totally get the hype.

I've also been using the Sensse Silicone Cleansing Brush* recently too. It's palm-sized so great to pop in your bag if you're travelling. It's purpose is to exfoliate and deeply cleanse your skin to get it lovely and radiant and believe me, it really works. I have only used this a handful of times because of my skin being an hormonal and stressed out mess at the minute, I didn't want to potentially aggravate it. Using the DHC Cleansing Oil* as a first cleanse and then using my Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser with the Sensse Cleansing Brush makes me feel as if I've had a mini facial and definitely perks up my skin if it's looking a little drab. I already know I'm going to be using this in my daily skincare routine as soon as my skin has cleared up properly (hopefully soon!).

Another product I keep seeing people talk about is the new Sugar Scrubs by L'Oreal. So whilst they were on offer in Boots the other week I picked one up. I decided on the L’Oreal Sugar Clear Scrub which contains Kiwi and smells very fruity, as expected. It slightly heats up on your skin which I think helps to remove any impurities and then the sugar melts away. I really like the scrub as it's not too gritty but it's gritty enough to remove any unwanted dead skin cells. It definitely leaves my skin smooth and glowy after using it so I would recommend if you're on the lookout for a new affordable face scrub.

Have you picked up any new skincare products lately?

  1. I am so in love with the L'Oreal sugar scrubs! I'm using the kiwi one too and it really does help my skin so much, as well as my lips.

I've tried the DHC cleansing oil in the past and I didn't think much of it at the time, but sadly I only had a small sample so I only got to give it a couple of tries. :( It sounds great though!
