Hydrate Your Summer Hair With Lee Stafford's Cactus Crush Range

Over the past few weeks I’ve been trying out and using the new Cactus Crush range by Lee Stafford* which has been made to hydrate your hair without weighing it down. So it's perfect for the Summer months! After using all four products in the range for the past few weeks I thought it was time to share my thoughts.

Before I get into talking about the products in the range I want to talk about my hair type so you know what I’m currently working with... I’ve got kind of fine hair which is quite dry at the ends and frizzy all over (thanks to the humid heatwave we're currently having) and my roots tend to get greasy quicker when the warmer weather comes around. Basically dry shampoo becomes my bff in the Summer.

The Cactus Crush Shampoo* and Cactus Crush Conditioner* are what I’ve been using the most and I’ve got to say I’m really impressed. Also the packaging is cute af, right? The scent of the Cactus Crush range is a zesty mixture of Cactus, Wild Lime and Kalahari Melon Oil, it's kind of similar to the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush range if you’re familiar - which happens to be one of my faves! They make my hair feel hydrated without going overboard and making it look kind of greasy, which I have found with a lot of shampoos and conditioners which claim to add moisture or add shine. I definitely agree with the "weightless moisture" claim on the bottle, that's for sure. The only downside I will say about the conditioner is that because it’s quite a thick formula, it’s hard to get it out of the bottle so I have to undo the bottle which isn’t a deal breaker but it is a bit annoying.

The Cactus Crush Dazzle Drops* are for using on the mid-lengths and ends of your hair to give your hair an added shot of moisture and some shine. It can be used both on dry or wet hair. I’ve mainly been using the Dazzle Drops on the ends of my hair when it's dry just to calm down any frizziness. My hair is due a hair cut but I’m kind of in that zone of I really like the length it is right now and I don't really want to cut it short again yet. I've found the best way to use the Dazzle Drops is take the ‘less is more’ approach because if you use too much you may make your hair look a tad greasy but so far I really like the product and I will continue to use it to tame my hair.

The Cactus Crush Mucho Moisture Mask* is the product I don’t think I’d pick up again. Not because it’s a bad product, because it’s not. But I already have a few go-to hair masks which work just as well as the Mucho Moisture Mask and they are a little cheaper. But if you are in the market for a new hair mask which smells basically like summer, then I would highly recommend it. Especially if you have super dry hair!

Overall I'm really liking the new range and I think it's probably my favourite scent from Lee Stafford ranges currently available, very closely followed by the ChocoLocks range because, chocolate... need I say more. You can pick up the Cactus Crush range and other ranges from Lee Stafford at Boots here (currently on offer - upto 1/3 off).

  1. This sounds like such a fab range! I love the sugar crush scent, and even if you have to take the top off of the conditioner, it still sounds great, but I can see how it would get annoying xx
