Adding A Festive Touch To Your Every Day Makeup

I really like adding a festive touch to my everyday makeup at this time of the year so I thought I'd share which are my go-to products to make my everyday look a little festive without looking too much. But hey, it's Christmas. I guess it's kind of the perfect time to go a little overboard with the glitter and sparkle if you want to. But here's my kind of current everyday makeup with a festive twist.

For base when I want a higher coverage and something which will last for hours I always go back to my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, although the shade range isn't the greatest and the shade "Swan" is still quite orange toned, the foundation itself is great. However I do have to use it with my Revolution Lightening Drops to get the perfect shade for me and my paper pale skin.

To add a touch of sparkle or glow for highlighter I opt for either my Lottie London Strobe Stix in Starstruck or my all time fave Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand Highlighter which gives more of a glow than sparkle which I love.

For Eyebrows I'm still using the Lottie London Arch Rival and Glossier Boy Brow in Clear or Brown which both work so well together. I've literally been using these two together since the beginning of the year and I have no intention of switching them out anytime soon. After I've used any cream products I'll then use my Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder* to make sure everything stays in place.

For a healthy, warm bronzer which works for my pale skin tone I like to use the Revolution Renaissance Glow Duo and if I want to make my highlighter "pop" then I'll use the highlighter in the duo and go over the top of my already placed highlighter but it depends on if I want to glow or sparkle as the Revolution Renaissance Glow Highlighter is very pretty but very sparkly. I then like to sweep on some Benefit Gold Rush Blusher or L'Oreal Life's a Peach Blusher to give me a healthy flush of colour. Gold Rush has more of a peachy, golden glow and L'Oreal's offering is more natural with a slight sheen. So I kind of mix and match depending on what products I've already used.

I love the Glossier Lidstars particularly the shades Cub, Fawn and Moon, they're so easy to use and it's very hard to mess it up. I'm definitely not a pro at applying eyeshadow, most of the time eyeshadow literally scares me but these just make life easier and you can go from a nice pretty sweep of colour or you can build it up to more of a bold look if you were heading out for dinner or a party. I tend to stick to more of a natural sweep of colour though as I find less is more for my eye shape if that makes sense.

For lips to keep it super festive I like The Body Shop Lip Liquid in Sydney Amaryllis* which is the perfect red shade. I absolutely love The Body Shops Lip Liquids, I'm surprised more people don't talk about them because are just great, they're super comfortable to wear and also really affordable too. But if I don't fancy a festive red then I'll opt for my Glossier Generation G in Jam which is a gorgeous berry shade which again is easy to build up to a bold berry lip if preferred. I also have been using the Pixi Lip Icing in Cake* a little more for the festive period because it's so comfortable to wear and adds a pretty glossy sparkle.
