AD | Refresh Your Skincare Routine With Boots This Spring

- #AD. This post is in conjunction with Boots UK but all thoughts are my own-

With Spring now in full swing, maybe it’s time that you switch up your skincare routine if you haven’t already and add in some products to help revitalise your skin. I’m a big fan of fresh, glowy looking skin and in today’s post I’m teaming up with Boots to talk about the skincare products they have to offer and which ingredients to look out for if you want to achieve fresh and naturally glowy looking skin.

First of all, you want to start with a cleanser that’s suitable for your skin type. The Liz Earle Pro-Biotic Balancing Milk Cleanser £18* is a super gentle milky cleanser, suitable for even the most sensitive skin types. It has a blend of pre, pro and post biotics along with ingredients such as chicory, lunaria oil, jojoba oil and oat extract. I’ve been using this cleanser since last year and I definitely think it’s helped my skin.

The Fenty Skin Total Cleans’r Remove It All Cleanser £21* is a fab 2-in-1 cleanser which smells really nice, like cherries and coconut and I’ve found it to be great at both removing makeup and also as a general daily cleanser and it doesn’t leave your skin feeling stripped or dry. The formula is on the thicker side, however, once you apply it to your wet skin, it emulsifies and turns into a creamy lather, meaning a little goes a long way.

SPF skincare is really important and a must-have in your skincare lineup. It’s definitely something people need to take seriously throughout the year, hence why I’m putting it next on my list. I always use Factor 50 Sun Cream on my body and I really like the Garnier Ambre Solaire Sensitive Hydrating Face Sun Cream Mist SPF50 £6.50* for my face as it’s super easy-to-use, lightweight and suitable for under and over makeup application.

If you want to give your moisturisers and serums a boost then you should definitely check out an essence like the Skin Proud Jelly Bright Essence £13.95* which contains Niacinamide which can help to minimise pores, improve skin texture and diminish dullness. It’s definitely one of my personal favourites when it comes to skincare ingredients.

If you feel like your skin is looking drab and dull then adding a Vitamin C Serum into your skincare routine should help. The Soap & Glory Glow With It 10% Vitamin C Serum £11.99* is a highly concentrated and lightweight serum which improves dull complexions and also plumps your skin to help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Another glow-giving product and one of my all-time favourites is the Pixi Mini Glow Tonic £10*. It contains Glycolic Acid which exfoliates and removes dead skin cells, tones and tightens the skin, leaving your skin looking healthier.

I also like to use a face mask once or twice a week as an extra skincare treatment and it’s also a good time to take 10-20 minutes out of the day to just relax. The new Fenty Skin Cookies N Clean Whipped Clay Detox Face Mask £25 is fragrance-free and has a lightweight formula. It contains Salicylic Acid which helps to clarify your skin, Clay which helps to extract dirt, oil and impurities, Encapsulated Charcoal which bursts upon massaging your skin and detoxifies pores and absorbs oils and it also contains Rhubarb and Ginger Extracts which condition and soothe the skin. With the lightweight, whipped formula, it doesn’t leave your skin feeling stripped and dry after use either.

Another face mask I like is the Pixi Glow Mud Mask £18* as it has a mineral-rich clay formula with Kaolin and Sea Salt which help to purify as well as Ginseng and Aloe Vera which help to balance your skin.

Lastly is moisturiser and because I have combination skin, I tend to find that I like gel or very lightweight creams when it comes to moisturisers. One of my current favourites is the Nivea Naturally Good Aloe Vera Radiance Face Cream £5.99 as my skin just seems to really like it. It has a lightweight formula and contains refreshing and soothing Organic Aloe Vera as well as Jojoba and Almond Oil and it moisturises the skin for up to 24 hours.

Have you also switched up your skincare routine this Spring or are you planning on switching it up soon?
