First up is the Lucy & Yak Brady - Crossbody Corduroy Bag in Black RRP £22 which I picked up a while ago. It was in the Boxing Day sale for £12 (I think?) I really like the kind of 80s/90s camera bag style. It’s ideal if you’re just popping out and don’t need a lot of things with you. However, I’ll be honest, I wish it were a little more padded inside, as I feel like it feels a bit flimsy and I always worry I’m going to accidentally smash my phone screen because I am quite clumsy but I try and protect it a bit more by putting my card holder in front of the screen.
I like the look of the Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tints, but I just can’t justify the price at £22 when I don’t wear makeup every day. So I picked up the W7 Juicy Jelly Lip & Cheek Stain in Candy RRP £6.20, which seems to be inspired by the Milk Makeup Jelly Tints. The W7 Jucy Jelly Lip & Cheek Stains contain 3 key ingredients - Niacinamide, which helps to even skin tone, hydrate and reduce fine lines and wrinkles; Rose Flower Water, which is anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidising and Hyaluronic Acid, which helps to boost hydration and there are four shades available: Candy, Fresh, Delight and Brazen. They are nicely pigmented and easy to build up, and I really like how fresh they look on your skin. You do have to work quite quickly with them as they dry down, but I would definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the market for a new blush or lip stain.
I also picked up the W7 H2O Water-Based Loose Powder RRP £6, which is a finely milled loose powder that leaves a cooling sensation on the skin upon application. I feel like there was a high-end brand that used to have a powder that did the same years ago but I can’t remember what brand it was. The W7 offering helps reduce shine without making your skin look powdery and dry and it gives a soft focus finish. It’s my go-to face powder right now.
I decided to try the Revolution Skin De-Puff Pillow Hyaluronic Acid Jelly Eye Patches RRP £14 which are vegan and cruelty-free to see if they are as good as my go-to eye patches which are the Pixi DetoxifEYE Eye Mask Patches. You get 30 pairs for £14, which I think is a great price and you also receive plastic tweezers inside to help pick up the patches which definitely work better than a spatula. They are refreshing and cooling and definitely help to wake you up a little first thing in the morning. However, I feel like the Pixi DetoxifEYE Eye Mask Patches work better for me as I find that they help more with puffiness and dark circles and they are also a little thicker and heavier so they stick onto your skin better too.
I also treated myself to a Stardew Valley Mug RRP £14.99 with some gift money. Stardew Valley is one of my favourite games, and as I’ve said before, I like playing video games which help switch my mind off and Stardew Valley is definitely one of my go-to games for that. The Etsy seller is called QuirkifyShop and they sell lots of different items from mugs, hats, candles etc and they cover a variety of TV and Films, Anime, Video Games and more.
I recently joined the Tropic Creator Community and they kindly sent out a couple of packages with some of their best-selling products as well as some new products to try out, so I’ve decided to add two of the products to my haul. I’ll no doubt be posting about other products on my socials and blog at a later date. First up is the Tropic Skincare Lip Silk Plumping Ceramide Serum RRP £18* which can be used alone or over a lip stain or lipstick. It has a 100% natural formula and is free from synthetic ingredients, unlike most lip oils on the market, which rely on silicones or petrochemicals for smoothness and shine as well as irritating ingredients that create an uncomfortable tingling effect. The Lip Silk Ceramide Serum is like a lip oil and lip treatment in one, and it smells really nice and fruity, which is an added bonus. I definitely feel like my lips feel more hydrated and slightly plumper since using the lip serum.
You can also buy The Full Lip Service RRP £34 which contains the Limited Edition Lip Smooth Softening Scrub, your choice of Lip Stain (in a limited edition spring shade or original favourite) and the Lip Silk Plumping Ceramide Serum and save up to £12.
I also wanted to feature the Tropic Skincare Luxury Body Oil in Soothe The Senses RRP £18*, which is a lovely hydrating treat for your skin. It’s also a multi-functional product as it can be used as a body oil, shaving oil, bath oil, cuticle oil and even has a hair oil. A little goes a long way with it being an oil and it smells beautiful. It’s definitely one of the nicest scented body products I own right now. It’s infused with notes of frangipani, cedarwood, and ylang-ylang.
I’ve been really enjoying cherry-scented products recently, so I had to try something from Soap and Glory’s new Cherry Wild range. I picked up their Limited Edition Cherry Wild Body Wash RRP £4.99, and I'll be honest, the scent is a little deeper than I was expecting (the notes are Dark Cherry and Jasmine Blossom) but it’s still really nice and it also lathers up well too. I may have to go back and pick up the Body Lotion at some point.
