A Review Of Three Products From Megababe

I’ve been testing three products from Megababe recently, and I think it’s time to share my thoughts on each of them. The brand's product range appears to be continually growing, offering items such as deodorant, anti-chafing sticks, anti-chafing powder, anti-boob sweat powder, soaps, and more. All of their products are also cruelty-free, vegan, and free from talc, parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.

First up is the Après Shave Ingrown and Razor Bump Roll-On Solution RRP £12*, which is exclusively available at Boots. It helps reduce pesky ingrown hairs and razor bumps after shaving, waxing or epilating. It can be used on bikini lines, underarms, legs and more, and it has a roll-on applicator which makes it super easy to apply. It contains an array of ingredients including Salicylic Acid which helps to dissolves excess skin cells which makes ingrown hairs less likely to form, Glycerin to soften the skins barrier and encourage hairs to grow without curling back on themselves and creating an ingrown hair as well as Apple Fruit Extract which gently smoothes and helps with cell turnover and Witch Hazel which soothes and calms delicate skin.

I have quite sensitive skin when it comes to hair removal, so I’m quite prone to getting ingrown hairs, razor bumps and irritation, regardless of which hair removal method I use. However, since using the Après Shave Ingrown and Razor Bump Roll-On Solution*, I’ve definitely seen a reduction in ingrown hairs and irritation. I also really like the roll-on applicator; it makes applying it super easy, and it’s also not messy in any way. If you want to help reduce ingrown hairs or razor bumps after hair removal, then I would definitely recommend giving this a try.

The Coco Deo Skincare Deodorant RRP £12* is available from Cult Beauty. It’s aluminium free and contains Coconut Oil which protects, nourishes and soothes skin, Shea Butter which moisturises and helps to improve the texture of your skin, Magnesium Hydroxide which helps to balance pH and kills odour causing bacteria, Zinc Ricinoleate which breaks down and absorbs odour without interfering with the skins natural flora, Lactobacillus Ferment which is a postbiotic that signals skin to produce and regulate health odour-fighting microbes and Tapioca Starch which absorbs wetness.

It easily glides onto the skin and doesn’t leave any sort of stickiness or residue like some stick deodorants can. It also smells lovely! It smells like real coconut and not an artificial coconut scent, which can be found in beauty products sometimes. It also keeps you feeling fresh for a good amount of time before needing to reapply. There are also other scents available too, these are The Santal Deo Skincare Deodorant and The Peachy Deo Skincare Deodorant which are also available from Cult Beauty.

Sometimes your body has to adjust to using a natural deodorant, so if you don't think a natural deodorant is working for you straight away, then just stick with it (pardon the pun!) for a couple of weeks whilst your body goes through the transition period and it should hopefully start working for you.

Lastly is the Space Bar Detoxifying Charcoal Underarm Bar RRP £6.50*, which gets your pits nice and clean and prepped for deodorant. It detoxifies and washes away any odour-causing impurities in 60 seconds. You just apply it in circular motions, leave for 60 seconds and wash away. It contains hydrating Avocado, Sunflower and Olive oils to help keep skin soft and supple. It also contains Activated Charcoal which is a natural powder that pulls toxins, dirt, oil and micro particles to the surface, Tea Tree Oil which helps to clarify the skin, Glycolic Acid which is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) which helps to slough off dead skin cells, Vitamin C which is a potent antioxidant useful in repairing damaged skin and Sodium Chloride which is natural odour fighting bacteria eliminator.

It does have a distinct tea tree scent, which some people may not like. I personally don't mind the smell of tea tree, I think it smells quite nice and refreshing. Overall, I like Space Bar Detoxifying Charcoal Underarm Bar, it does its job well and if you need a soap which cleanses your skin deeply and doesn’t strip or dry out your skin, then I would recommend picking up the Space Bar Detoxifying Charcoal Underarm Bar*.
