I’m back with another Nivea skincare review and this time I’m going to be talking about their new Derma Skin Clear range which is aimed at oily and/or blemish-prone skin types. The range consists of 4 vegan-friendly products and they contain three active ingredients which are Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid and Niacinamide which I personally think are the holy grails of skincare, particularly if you have oily/blemish-prone skin.

First up in my Nivea Derma Skin Clear review is the Derma Skin Clear Face Wash Gel RRP £5.59* which comes in a pump bottle which makes it so much easier to use, like I said in my Beauty and Lifestyle Haul, I really don’t like products with awkward packaging and it puts me off repurchasing products, even if they’re good. The Derma Skin Clear Face Wash Gel also has a light clean fragrance and it lathers up nicely. I‘ve been enjoying using this Face Wash Gel, It’s refreshing and it leaves your skin feeling nice and clean but not stripped bare. It's actually my go-to cleanser at the moment and I will 100% repurchase this as soon as I run out.

Next up is the Derma Skin Clear Toner RRP £5.59* which contains Salicylic Acid and Niacinamide and can be used daily to help reduce sebum and balance your skin. To use you can either pat the product onto your face with your hands or use a cotton pad, I personally use my go-to reusable bamboo cotton face pads when applying any sort of toner. I feel like for the price this is a really good toner, especially considering it contains two active ingredients. My go-to toner has been Pixi Glow Tonic for years, which is a really nice toner but it only contains one active ingredient (Glycolic Acid) and it costs £18 for a 250ml bottle, although I admit, I do tend to try and get it on offer. I do still love my Glow Tonic though because it does make my skin look really fresh and glowy straight after using it, however, if you’re looking for a budget toner with multiple active ingredients then I would definitely say give the Derma Skin Clear Toner a try.

The Derma Skin Clear Chemical Exfoliator RRP £5.99* is more of a treatment and I’ve only used it twice so far. Even though it’s a highly concentrated formula, I decided not to use it as an overnight treatment as Nivea suggests as I felt like it might be a little too much for my skin, so each time I've used it, I've just popped it on for 15-20 minutes and removed it with a hot cloth. It smells really nice, like a typical clean Nivea scent and I do feel like my skin feels and looks really smooth after using it. I also feel like it helped to settle down a couple of new spots that had popped up when I wasn't very well recently.

Lastly in my review is the Derma Skin Clear Anti-Blemish Scrub RRP £5.59* which is more of a face wash scrub as it lathers up and isn’t super gritty. You only need a small pea-sized amount each use so it’ll last a while and it really does leave your skin feeling refreshed and clean but without drying out your skin. You can also use it on your body as well which is good to know. I personally prefer a more gritty face scrub but it just depends on your preference.

Overall, I think this range is good for the price and it definitely helps to clear your skin, there's no doubt about that. I wish I had taken before and after photos when I started using these products because I really did see an improvement within a couple of days of using this range. Personally, the Derma Skin Clear Face Wash and the Derma Skin Clear Toner are my favourites from the range that I will 100% repurchase. The only negative I have to say about this range is that I do think that the range is missing a lightweight moisturiser and maybe even a face mask of some sort.
