So it's the last day of August. I cannot believe how fast this summer and well, year has gone by in general. Before we know it Halloween things will be hitting the shops and next thing you know it's Christmas again! Anyway today's post is as described. There is a little bit of everything on this list of things so be prepared because it might seem a little all over the place. But I hope you enjoy it!

First thing is the Body Fantasies Body Mists. I think these are only available in Superdrug in the UK at the minute but I'm not 100% sure. I've only got the Japanese Cherry Blossom one right now because that was the only one available, but I am going to buy Twilight Mist when I can get my hands on it because it's out of stock online and it's never in the shop either. The Cherry Blossom one is lovely! it's not overpowering which I think is a good thing and it's smells very fresh but delicate. Price: £3.99 but are half price at the minute in Superdrug.

Next is Stranger Things. Oh my god what a show. Some people get the hype and some people don't. I definitely do! I will admit I was debating on continuing watching it after two episodes because I wasn't gripped straight away but I think after watching the third or fourth episode then I was hooked and ended up going work feeling very cranky and tired the next day haha. It's one of those shows that you have to watch it without any distractions and listen intently. Because if you miss something it will confuse you the hell out of you. Love the 80's vibe and music in this too and the children actors are so good considering they're so young. When's season two being released?

Pukka Tea is one of the best things I've found in ages. Plus it was entirely accidental find it so it makes it seem even more better. Some of you reading this might thing uh, boring. But this stuff is magic I swear. There's 20 tea bags per box, they each come in a little cute sachet and there's lots of different types in the range. Some are the basic ones like Earl Grey and English Breakfast but the ones I've got in at the minute are called: Detox, Relax and Night Time. I don't really know why this tea seems to work for me better than any other flavoured teas but it just does. The detox one seems to make my skin clear up quickly. The night time one relaxes me when I'm trying to sleep and helps to stop me overthinking so much in the middle of the night and relax obviously helps me the wind down and just feel more at ease. Definitely recommend. Prices range from about £2.39-£3.69 depending where you shop. links: | |

Rimmel Brow This Way is something I've already wrote about in my previous post. It's definitely grown on me even more. If you've not read my previous post then I'll just say that you do get a lot of product for the price and the colours are a good match but the brush is quite big and bulky... as you can see in my picture above. It's quite hard to work with. Definitely would say to use an old eyebrow brush (I use my old Gimme Brow brushes) But it stays on really well and doesn't flake off at all. Price: £3.99 so it's very purse friendly which is an added bonus.

So this one is tad bit embarrassing to admit but I've become quite addicted to Teen Wolf. It's like a guilty pleasure. I watched the first season about two months ago and didn't really know what to make of it and whether if I wanted to continue or not. Just because I thought it was kind of a little rip off twilight but with wolves being the main focus and a little cliche in some parts. But a few weeks ago because of being absolutely nothing decent to watch at the minute series-wise... apart from Pretty Little Liars. I thought I'd get into season two, and now I've just started season 4 the other day (yes I know. I've binged watched it) and it's definitely getting better each season. It's story line is interesting and it's like comedy/horror/fantasy all thrown into one. Best thing to say is give it a try. The first two seasons are on Netflix.

People say that curvier, chubbier, fatter (whichever way you want to phrase it) people shouldn't wear horizontal stripes/lines because "it makes them look bigger and wider". I've heard and seen that everywhere since I was younger. Which is why for so many years I've just avoided and not given any tops or dresses with stripes a chance at all. But all of sudden over the past few months I seem to have collected quite a few and they've become staples in my wardrobe and the weird thing is... they actually suit me. So when I wear any of them they are just instantly a confidence booster. I tend to wear them with either a long and big necklace just to spruce them up a bit more. But yeah, new favourite print. Who'd a thought it?

My faves are in the picture above and they're all from supermarkets: left - asda £10 but isn't available anymore | middle was £7 but now has gone into sale and right £5 - both from sainsburys

Colleen Hoover. This woman's books are amazing. I haven't read all of her newest book It Ends With Us yet because I've had a lot of things going on and haven't really felt like reading to be honest. But I've read almost all of her books and you literally feel all of the emotions all the way through them. You laugh, you sob, you feel angry, confused and more. Her books get into your soul and you don't get that with every book you read. She's one of a kind in my opinion. My favourite books by her are: Confess, Hopeless and Maybe Someday.

Hello, hello to my new favourite band... Blossoms. Love their new album so so so much. After spending a few weeks away from everything just because my mind wasn't into doing literally anything, I finally started to feel better and more like myself and then remembering about their album being released was such a good feeling. Instant mood booster. It's one of them albums which you can listen to in your car or when you're half asleep at night or to have a good sing along to in the shower (recommend Charlemagne for that). I'm so proud of them for getting their album to number one in the UK too. They definitely deserved it! Favourite songs: Honey Sweet, Deep Grass, Texia

So there's my August faves. What were yours?

So this is another posted stolen from my old blog that I've kind of abandoned (explained in my previous post) But I've tweaked this post a little. I was planning on writing up a new post but plans changed I kind of ran out of time to write one. Will write that one up tomorrow and post probably on Friday. Admittedly when I wrote this I was going to do a Top Five but it’s impossible to choose just 5 products when I love so many. I’m a complete sucker for Lush. I have been for about 2 years now. If I go in a Lush, it’s takes ages to get me out of the doors again (it’s like I’m hypnotised by all the colours and gorgeous smells or something) Since swapping and changing products from other brands to Lush, my skin has got better and I have found products which really do what they say. Another reason why I love them is because you get free samples when you ask them so I’m not wasting money on things that maybe don’t work for me or I don’t like the smell of etc.

Also another thing I wanted to add is that I just got these product pictures from google because I haven't got all of these products in to take pictures of right now. I was expecting my delivery to arrive before posting this post but it hasn't been dispatched yet :(
My Top Ten aren’t in any order and all these are products which are all available at all times and not special occasion/seasonal products.

Rose Jam Bubbleroon
So the Rose Jam scent is one I discovered due to the Boxing Day sales. Personally I’m not usually a huge fan of rose scent so I never bothered even giving it a try. I think it smells maybe a little old fashioned sometimes and doesn’t stay on for long. But the Rose Jam Shower Gel came in the “Home For Christmas” gift set and now I ration it because I love it so much but it never comes in the Lush Kitchen and waiting until it's released in the Christmas range is so annoying. It’s a different kind of Rose smell, it’s less old fashioned and smells sweeter and stronger and it lingers for hours and hours. So the next best thing to the Rose Jam Shower gel is the Bubbleroon. It turns your water into a lovely deep pink and makes tons of bubbles. I use this when I need a pick me up pamper and it definitely makes me feel better. Price: £3.95.

American Cream Conditioner
This conditioner smells gorgeous and makes my hair look really healthy and shiny! I tend to only buy the smaller 100g bottle just because I think it is a tad pricey so I usually just put it in my mid lengths/ends when I have a pamper or fancy a change of conditioner and the smell sticks around until my next hair wash. It smells like strawberries and cream but not in a sickly way, more of a fresh way. Whenever I use this I can’t stop from smelling my hair either. (Yes I may look like a crazy person doing this but it’s so worth it) Price: £4.95

Twilight Bath Bomb
I know I said I didn’t put these in any order but this probably is my favourite product of all time from Lush. I think it was the first bath bomb I bought from there and it smells so good. Whenever I have a really bad day or when I need to try and get some extra hours sleep but feel quite awake I use this bath bomb. I’m never without one. I never shop in Lush or on the website without buying one of these amazing things. It smells like a sweet Lavender smell but not too overpowering like some lavender scents are. It’s just amazing. Currently priced at £3.75.

Intergalactic Bath Bomb
Minty fresh work of art. That’s how I would describe this. I probably would have this bath more in the morning/early afternoon because it does wake you up and gets you motivated for the rest of the day. But at the same time you may get sidetracked by all the colours and glitter and stay in the bath for hours too. (I did warn you)  But it’s definitely a refreshing treat for your body. Price: £4.25

Coal Face Facial Soap
Here we have my holy grail for part of my skin care routine. I have pretty oily skin on my t-zone and then I go through phases of dry skin on my cheeks here and there and then get dry patches on my chin then it goes really greasy again and then it goes around in a circle again and again. I did use to swear by the Dark Angels Exfoliating Cleanser but it was really drying out my skin more and when I bought it online it didn’t always have a long product life span left. Like I’ve literally had a Dark Angels which was dated to expire 3 weeks from when it arrived. I love the smell of charcoal though and my face literally squeaks after using Coalface and I think it’s mattifies my skin too. I’ve also noticed since using this, that my make up stays on my skin better as an added bonus. Definitely wouldn’t change to a different product and if it was discontinued I think I would have some sort of breakdown. Currently priced: £5.95 / 100g | £14.85 / 250g | £29.75 / 500g

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub
This product I do love a lot which is why it’s in my Top 10 but I don’t really use it for what I should use it mainly for. I find it isn’t gritty enough for a shower scrub for me even when you use it on dry skin before getting in the shower like the pot suggests. It just doesn’t feel like it’s done anything. The reasons why I buy this product is because it makes my hair look voluminous because of the fine sea salt present and because it smells absolutely delicious. But if you’re looking for a really good exfoiliator then this probably isn’t your product. Maybe you should try looking at Cup o Coffee? Price for Rub Rub Rub: £8.95 / 350g | £14.95 / 665g

Big Shampoo
This makes me feel like a mermaid or like I have sea air in my hair. First of all I want to talk about is the smell! If they did it in a perfume I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I can’t even describe what the smell is but it’s so good. I find the sea salt is a little bit rough on my scalp sometimes though. But on the other hand it makes my usual frizzy natural hair look amazing and easy to work with and can help to make the perfect beach waves style on my hair. I think it’s more of a trial and test kind of product. I personally find that this is best used with Big Blue bath bomb just to get the perfect seaside feel. Price: £6.75 / 100g | £12.75 / 330g | £21.50 / 600g

Karma Soap
This lathers up so well and it’s last forever and doesn’t lose it’s scent. If I had to choose one soap to use for the rest of my life it would definitely be this. It’s uplifting, does what it supposed to do and is very well priced at £4.25 / 100g | £10.60 / 250g | £21.25 / 500g
If you like citrus-y smells this is definitely one for you.

Don’t Rain On My Parade Shower Gel

So this is a new one for me. It’s the most recent shower gel I’ve just bought purely because it smells of violets. It was sent with one of my orders as a unexpected extra sample but in the wash sheet version. The only reason I didn’t buy/sample this sooner is because of the blueberry juice that it says is present in it. But thankfully I can barely really smell the blueberries (I’m not a huge fan) and more of the violet kind of smell. Another good thing about this is that I love the colour of the gel and a little goes a long way because it lathers so well. I think the wash sheet sample smelled a little more, I don’t know… maybe musky? but in a good way but I still love the shower gel and will definitely repurchase. Price: £5.95 / 100g | £11.95 / 250g | £19.95 / 500g | £34.95 / 1kg

Silky Underwear Dusting Powder
Another newbie for me because I’d heard so many good things about this dusting powder! It was actually given to me in a Lush gift bag in April this year for my birthday. and I use it probably every other day and there’s still over 3/4 a bottle left. Considering it’s only a 60g bottle I think it’s lasting really well. It’s got a very light, delicate jasmine scent which is really lovely. I think considering I only got this just under 3 months ago and it’s made it’s way onto my top 10 lush products list, then I must really like it. I think it’s a must buy for summer time especially. Another good thing with this product that I’ve read about and also I’ve tried myself is that it can be used as a light deodorant too. Price: £4.95 / 60g
If you have any questions about any of the Lush products mentioned then don’t hesitate to comment this post or even tell me your favourites! I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post. New post will be up probably on Friday or over the weekend. Thanks for reading!

I've recently found some new beauty bargains that are definitely something to write about. So keep on reading to save on some pennies and maybe even find a dupe or two, too!

Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Facial Scrub
So I was running low on my exfoliator (Lush's Dark Angels) and wanting to try something new and a little bit cheaper and longer lasting. I was doing some other online shopping on Superdrug and I saw the offer on the Simple range. The Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Facial Scrub (what a mouthful!) was only £1.95 usually priced at £3.99 so it was hardly breaking the bank. I didn't expect miracles but I was wrong. Normally witch hazel breaks me out more so but this surprisingly didn't! The actual grittiness in this isn't as gritty as the Dark Angels I was used to but it seems to have done the trick. My skin cleared up in under a week and I'd only used this twice and not changed anything else I was using or eating etc. So it must've been this! It's my new holy grail and definitely think it's worth having a try and see if it works for you.

Boots Essentials Cucumber Eye Gel
I don't sleep well. I  haven't in years. An full nights sleep with no disturbances happens once in an blue moon for me. I find it so hard to fall asleep, I spend hours just looking at the wall. I can literally be yawning all day, waiting until I can get into bed and when I get into bed it's just like I can't switch off and let my brain rest. I've tried everything and now I just give up and just deal with living on an small amount of hours sleep. So obviously I have suitcases under my eyes majority of the time. I've always thought eye gels are overpriced, don't really work and I'd end up with sore red eyes because the smell of the product has gotten to me. I usually just splash cold water on my face after I've washed ito tone and wake my skin. (And I have an glass of water before anything else to wake up my skin and body too) or if I have time, use the old cucumber on eyes trick. Anyway I bought this on an whim because it was only £1.50. And it actually works. It's got an faint smell of cucumber and I apply twice daily. In the morning and in the evening. A little goes a long way which is a bonus. My eyes are still looking tired but not as bad as usual. So I'd definitely recommend snapping this up.

Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel
I usually swear by Benefit's Gimme Brow. While it's pricey, it definitely has sorted my sparse eyebrows out over the past year or so. But I've come to realise that it doesn't last long and the amount in the product is kind of rubbish compared to Brow This Way. I'd definitely call this the next best thing. Maybe even it's dupe. The only downside is the brush is quite big and bulky but what I'm currently doing is using a few of my old Gimme Brow brushes in the product and it seems to be coming out much better and defined than using the Brow This Way brush. It comes in four shades: Blonde, Mid Brown, Dark Brown and Clear. I'm using Dark Brown and it suits my red/brown hair fine. It's £3.99 but at the minute it's on offer in Boots for £2.99.

Rimmel's Rita Ora Nail Polish Collection
I'm a sucker for nail polish even though I have my natural nails and they're anything but long and beautiful. I use nail polish just to make them look better and to blend in with an outfit usually. Anyway I've only been using these ones for a few months but they are really good for the price. I'd read the reviews and people were moaning about the fact that they aren't an "quick fix and go"type of nail polish. Yes they are a little streaky but it depends entirely on the colour. The darker/deeper the colour the less streaky they are with these. The colours are kind of pastel but eye catching and I've had many compliments, especially when wearing my favourites: Roll In The Grass and Bestival Blue. But for £2.99 they are a bargain if you're willing to put a little effort into your nails. I'd say it takes about 10 minutes to paint two coats of the lighter colours and dry. So it's not that bad!

Imperial Leather Shower Cream
I honestly don't know how I've missed these until now. Especially my new favourite Marshmallow scented one. If you've read my previous posts you'll know my love for Lush. One of my limited edition favourites is Snow Fairy which smells like candy floss. This is the next best thing to it. It's very comforting, which is even says on the bottle but you know them days when you just need an long sock in the bath with a
small large glass of wine? Then I'd definitely recommend it for them type of days. It's basically like an hug in an bottle and the smell lingers for hours. The prices for these are a little all over the place but the cheapest I've bought mine for was £1 at Sainsburys. They do lots of different scented ones to from Fruit Salad to Mango and more.

I hope you enjoyed reading this and hope you go grab yourself a bargain! Sorry about the lack of pictures. I did take some but they didn't come out very well because they were on my phone. Typical that my camera has decided to pack up when I start up a blog eh. Please like if
you enjoyed this post and comment your favourite beauty bargains too. Thanks for reading.

So hi!

in , , , , , , , , , , by Kirsty Milward, 21.8.16
Hello there. So I'm not entirely new at blogging and have got another blog on wordpress with the same name but I've kind of abandoned it a little because of the whole "premium" thing going on with it and my blog looks kind of boring because of the lack of the customisation. But I've just made a Blogger account and realised how you can customise so much easier and the it's much more simple to navigate around. So what I'm going to do is post a few posts from my other blog and just see how I go. I'm still kind of under construction so please don't hate... yet. Haha.

Also feel free to give me any tips on using Blogger, thanks! x
