Since working from home I've realised that it's so easy to lose motivation and it's also very easy to fall into the trap of just giving yourself the afternoon off to binge-watch whatever the latest hyped up show is on Netflix when you know really you should be working. But I have figured out some ways which I find really help me to get back on track and basically give me a kick up the bum to get things done. So that's what I'm sharing in today's post.

5 expert hacks for a natural makeup look
A natural makeup look is minimal so it should be easy, right? In reality, it can actually be more difficult to achieve the ‘I woke up like this’ look. Luckily, we’ve compiled some tips from expert makeup artists to help you craft the perfect natural face.

We all have own kind of style and we have our own opinions on what looks good and what doesn't. But many of us will admit to taking inspiration from well-known celebrities. Here are three of 2018’s most iconic women to discover what their fashion says about them and how you can easily replicate their most famous outfits.

I'm sure you're probably sick of seeing and hearing about the Fast Base Foundation from Makeup Revolution by now because it is everywhere. But I thought I would do a review on the latest super-hyped MUR product because foundation sticks rarely work for me, thanks to my oily skin type. I also haven't really seen many people stating what skin type they have when reviewing the foundation which is annoying. So if you have oily or combination skin and debating on picking this up for yourself then this post may be for you.

If you're a fellow blogger reading this then I'm sure you'll know that we all want to be better at blogging in one way or another and we all have "blogger goals", right? Whether it's our photography game, writing, brands we work with and so on. We're basically our own worst critics and we always feel as if we need to work harder (which is totally fine, as long as you don't burn yourself out). Right now, there are a few things which I really want to improve or change about my blog and I thought I'd share with you how I'm planning on doing so.

You may have already seen or heard about the new trend which is all about self appreciation and self-love. If not, then the trend is the self-love ring. Some women are even taking it as far as marrying themselves and others are in a relationship referred to as ‘sologamy’. Angelic Diamonds, retailers of engagement rings have also seen the rise in the new trend and how women are showing off their independence.

New In My Skincare Stash

in , , , , by Kirsty Milward, 12.3.18

Over the past year or so, I've got really into skincare and trying to figure out what works best for my temperamental skin instead of popping into Boots when I'm running low on a cleanser or a spot treatment and picking up whatever products are on offer for my oily skin type. Because I love trying out skincare products and always hoping to find a holy grail or two, it basically means I've become a bit of a skincare hoarder. But I've recently had a serious destash and got rid of things that just were not for me anymore. So I decided after my destash to buy some products that I really wanted to try out and I've also received a few bits from some brands too which is always exciting. So I thought I'd share with you what's new in my skincare stash and my thoughts on the products so far.

I'm a huge fan of Burt's Bees and they are definitely one of my all-time favourite brands. I love that they are 100% Natural, cruelty-free and affordable. I've recently been trying out some of their Satin Lipsticks which claim to hydrate and moisture your lips for 8 hours whilst being creamy and lightweight. They are also formulated with moringa and raspberry seed oils and the cute honeycomb packaging is made from 60% recycled materials (and they also look great in an insta flatlay).

I think these posts are easier to write during the colder months because I love nothing more than snuggling up preferably in my dressing gown, accompanied by either my hot water bottle or one of my cats and getting stuck into a box set or film on Netflix or NOW TV. There has been a quite few TV shows I've been loving over the past month or so as well the odd film or two and... one book (which I still haven't finished). But here are some things which I've been into recently entertainment wise.

Lately, I've been opting for more of a minimal makeup look and even though there are a fair few products to get my minimal makeup look, it still looks pretty and natural. I think I'll definitely be using the products below together throughout Spring too because they just make me look more fresh-faced and radiant which I'm all about right now.
