Celebrating NYX Professional Makeup Launching in Debenhams!

I was contacted by Debenhams recently (which I'll admit, was kind of surreal itself) to tell me all about the latest makeup brand they will be stocking... NYX!

I'm a huge fan of NYX, especially their soft matte lip creams and eye shadows, I just think they sell something for everyone so knowing that they are going to be available at Debenhams is great news. Debenhams kindly sent me a bundle of NYX products to celebrate the launch and to show you some of the products which will be available on the 11th September (as well as many more!).

Pore Filler*
This couldn't have come at a better time. I'm currently having a bit of a crisis with my skin (blaming my hormones) and my pores are larger than usual, which is annoying! So I tried this asap just to see if it'd improve the look of my skin and it did! My skin felt lovely and soft too and my makeup sat nicely and didn't slip and slide off my face like I know some people worry about with silicone primers. I love that it is talc-free and also oil-free and that it includes vitamin E to smooth and enhance your skin. It's very light weight and a nice size for popping in your makeup bag if you were travelling too. Definitely a new fave Primer in my collection.

Butter Gloss - Strawberry Parfait*
First up is a product I've never actually tried from NYX until now. I received a Butter Gloss lipstick in the shade Strawberry Parfait and it's a pretty wash of pink. I really like that the butter gloss isn't sticky and glides on easily. I've already worn it a few times since receiving the package and I think it looks lovely with a natural kind of makeup look just to give the look a pop of colour.

Lip Lingerie - Exotic*
I already own a couple of the Lip Lingerie lipsticks and at first, I'll admit I wasn't the biggest fan because they are quite drying and you do have to make sure that your lips are nice and soft before applying because it will stick out like a sore thumb if your lips are chapped. But now I always wear a lipbalm underneath most liquid lipsticks just so they don't feel as drying. But I do really like the Lip Lingerie range, they stay on well and the shade Exotic is a gorgeous Autumn/Winter kind of shade.

Soft Matte Lip Cream - Budapest*
Soft Matte Lip Creams from NYX are one of my favourite lipsticks of all time. The formula is just right for me, it's not too drying but they don't move around a lot after they've dried down a little. My favourite is definitely the shade London, the perfect nude and if you're a pale girl like myself and you want to find a nice nude shade which compliments pale skin then I definitely recommend it. Anyway moving on to the shade I received Budapest, it's a lovely deep red-purple shade, perfect for the upcoming Autumn and Winter months. I can already tell you now it's going to be on my lips a lot because it's gorgeous. Oh also, Soft Matte Lip Creams smell gorgeous - kind of like a sweet, candy scent.

Liquid Suede - Downtown Beauty*
Next is a pretty brown shade, it definitely reminds me kind of the 90s grunge kind of vibe, I'm not sure that the colour is for me in all honesty but the formula is lovely - kind of in between the Lip Lingerie and Soft Matte Lip Cream and I think I'm going to be picking up a few different shades from the Liquid Suede range soon.

NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette - Cool Neutrals*
Looking at this palette I did think the shades are not my usual go-to kind of shades and that they wouldn't suit me. But after using the palette a few times, I actually love it and the shades inside. Again, I think this is a great transitional kind of palette. The swatches show that the shades do look a little different than they actually are in the pan but they are so pretty - the shimmery muted gold and muted purple-pink are definitely my favourites. They're easy to work with and stay on well. There is a tiny amount of fall out but it's nothing over the top and I definitely want to pick up the Warm Neutrals palette now just so I have the contrasting pair of palettes. I think there's a great selection of shades and you can definitely get a lot of different looks out of the palette alone.

Strobe Of Genius Illuminating Palette*
Lastly, is the gorgeous Strobe Of Genius highlighter palette. First of all the pigmentation is really impressive (even though silly me forgot to take swatch photos and didn't realise until the night before I'm planning on posting the post, yes really). Even though not all of the shades will work for my pale skin, I think I can get away with wearing them as eyeshadows. The last 3 on the top row and the bottom right hand shade are the ones that work best for my pale skin, they are really pretty and build-able, so they work for both people who like a subtle glow and people who like blinding glows.

Overall, I think these are some fab products (as always) from NYX and I'm looking forward to seeing their exclusive to DebenhamContour Intuitive Palette which I may have to pick up. NYX Professional Makeup will be available to buy from Debenhams on the 11th September here.
