Double The Outfits In Your Suitcase With These Clever Accessories *

Even if you’re the world’s most seasoned traveller, there’s never really any joy in packing a suitcase. Those trips that require nothing but a carry on can be the most difficult and tend to require a huge amount of outfit planning before you finally jet off.

Luckily, with only a few accessories you can actually double the number of outfits you have in your case so you can effortlessly go from day to night. The trick is not only to pack light but to pack clever too

Holiday earrings
A day at the beach may not call for hoops, but when night rolls around, and the cocktails start flowing, it’s time to add a pair of shoulder dusters into the mix. Switching your daytime tank top for a blouse and adding a pair of standout earrings will give you the perfect evening look.

A wide-brimmed hat
Go from beach chic to town tourist with a wide-brimmed hat that won’t only keep the sun off your neck but help to transform your look in an instant. You can pair your hat with everything from plus size co-ord set in the daytime to maxi dresses at night.

Sneakers vs sandals
When you’re on holiday, sneakers and sandals are interchangeable, but they can make a huge difference in the way your outfit looks. If you’re planning on sightseeing during the day, a pair of comfortable (yet stylish) trainers is always the way to go. Tie your hair back, add some sunglasses, and carry your essentials in a tote and you’ll be ready to face the day. Then, for the evening, all you need to do is let your hair down, change into your sandals and add a lightweight jacket to combat the chill.

A brightly coloured scarf
A light scarf is what we consider to be a ‘double duty item’. It’s something that can be easily layered and an item that can complement plenty of other items in your case. Plus, it’s incredibly light and won’t take up much space. By adding a brightly coloured scarf to neutral basics, you can mix up your day-to-day outfits, dressing them up or down as you please.

A kaftan
If you think a kaftan belongs nowhere but the beach then think again. While a pullover is crucial to give your skin some rest bite from the sun, there’s nothing to stop you from dressing it up in the evening with your trusty pair of earrings and a pair of jewelled sandals. To make your kaftan go further, opt for a basic colour that allows you to play more with the accessories you’ve packed. Black is never a bad idea.
