I’m coming at you with another review today and this time it’s a mini review of the Salt Of The Earth Refillable Roll-On Deodorants which are vegan, cruelty-free and made in the UK. They are priced from £4.49 - £6.49 per 75ml and are available from https://crystalspring.co.uk and many other UK health stores. They are also available in a whopping 10 different fragrances including Neroli & Orange, Peony Blossom, Cucumber & Melon, Sweet Strawberry and more.

I’ll be honest I usually don’t pick up roll-on deodorants because the majority of the time I find that they don’t keep me feeling fresh for the day. I find myself reapplying multiple times in the day and I usually find that they can feel quite sticky after each application too. However I’ve never tried a natural roll-on deodorant so when I got the opportunity to give the refillable Salt Of The Earth Roll-On Deodorants a whirl, I thought why not?

I chose the Peony Blossom (75ml)* and the Cucumber and Melon (75ml)* and I’ve been using them for probably about 6 weeks now and I’ve got to say, I’m impressed! First of all, I really like both of the scents I chose, I think Peony Blossom is my favourite of the two, the scent isn’t overpowering, it’s pretty subtle but it’s enough. I guess it depends on your preference when it comes to deodorant fragrances though.

Since I’ve been using them I’ve found that they both seem to work really well and keep me feeling fresh throughout the day. They don’t leave any pesky white marks and they seem to be lasting a good amount of time too. It did take maybe a week or so for my body to adjust to using the natural deodorant which is totally normal. But I don’t worry about smelling sweaty which I know is something a lot of people worry about when it comes to natural deodorant because of how it still lets your body breathe and sweat like normal. However, fear not, because the natural deodorant leaves a thin layer of natural minerals on your skin which inhibits the growth of odour-causing bacteria.

I’m definitely going to pick up a refill bottle once I’ve finished both of my roll-ons. As I’ve already mentioned, I think Peony Blossom is my favourite of the two, so I’ll more than likely pick up the Peony Blossom refill bottle online. Each refill bottle can refill a Salt of The Earth 75ml bottle up to 7 times which offers a 65% reduction in plastic waste when comparing 1 refill bottle to 7 roll-on deodorants.

The 10 different fragrances available are Ocean & Coconut, Amber & Sandalwood, Neroli & Orange, Vetiver & Citrus, Lavender & Vanilla, Sweet Strawberry, Melon & Cucumber, Peony Blossom, Ginger & Jasmine and Unscented. So there's definitely something for everyone!

I’ll go as far as to say that these are the best natural deodorants I’ve tried which is a big statement I know but I really like them and would 100% recommend them if you’re planning on making the switch.

  1. I've tried the spray one of these and they're really good! I love the peony blossom one.
