Revamping My Bedroom Wall With Desenio

I’d been debating on putting some prints on my brick feature wall in my bedroom for a while, as I had nothing on the wall apart some fairy lights over my bed and I feel like it was just looking a little bare and well, boring. Because the ‘brick’ is obviously wallpaper, I didn’t want to potentially ruin it and then have to wallpaper it all over again - because what a hassle that would be! (and I loathe wallpapering with a passion). But I recently decided to bite the bullet and attempt trying a gallery wall to try and make more of a feature out of the wall and I’ve got to say, I actually love how it looks and I wish I’d done it sooner!

I decided to place an order on Desenio for a variety of different prints which I thought would not only suit my brick feature wall but also would ‘go together’ nicely and then shortly after placing my order I got an collaboration email from Desenio which I obviously snapped up! Because of this I’ve also picked up some prints for around the house and I decided to pick up a few extra prints to switch up in the gallery wall frames when/if I get bored of their current layout.

So let’s talk about the gallery wall first before moving onto the other prints I got for other rooms in the house. I wanted the gallery wall to reflect kind of my personality and favourite things if that makes sense and I do think it comes across well. I decided to choose a mixture of three different sizes for my gallery wall - the smallest being 13x18cm, the middle size being 21x30cm and the largest poster print being 30x40cm. I love that the frames are really lightweight which makes life a bit easier when putting them on the wall and also taking them down to change the prints inside. The poster prints I chose for my gallery wall are Eyes on You, Tropical Leaves Pattern which I think adds in the right amount of greenery and also looks nice with the copper frame and the red brick background, Breathe*, Meet Me in New York* because of my love for NY obvs, Girl Power, Memphis*, Moon Phase, Change Your Thoughts because who doesn't love a positive quote on their wall and Lipstick* because of my love for beauty and makeup. I didn't want to go OTT with the copper frames as I do have quite a few copper decor pieces dotted around my room already so I tried to balance it out by having more black frames than copper.

Apologies for the rubbish lighting but hopefully you can see what I mean and why I love the poster print above!
For the living room I chose the poster print The Flock* in the size 30x40 which is definitely one of my favourites out of all the prints I've chosen. I decided to put it a copper frame to compliment the teal-blue colours in the print and I think it looks so lovely and it really does add something to the living room as we have a teal feature wall over the wooden fireplace and with the print being full of mainly teal and blue it really fits into the room nicely and kind of knits it all together.

Again, sorry for the not so great lighting/photo. Also, hi me in the reflection sporting a very messy bun lol!
Lastly for the Kitchen I decided to pick up two poster prints both in the size 21x30cm. I got the Tropical Bird print* and the Snaccident print*. I decided to opt for the wooden frames because I thought it would look nice with the green walls of the kitchen. I think they compliment each other nicely and it's nice to add a few prints in the kitchen as we just had a white vintage-esque birdcage clock up before and it's nice to have a change and inject some extra colour and interest to the room.

I've really enjoyed working with Desenio on this and choosing the prints and deciding how to style them, the only problem is now I want to put prints on any walls in the house which look a bit bare!

  1. Love the posts that you've chosen - something about the different sizes that brings it all together and they all compliment each other so well. What a difference some pretty frames and prints can do to a wall! x
