What's New In From Nivea...

Nivea very kindly sent over a variety of their products recently including some of their latest releases for me to try, including one of their new MagicBARS facial cleanser bars, their Naturally Good Natural Hemp Seed Oil & Calming Lotion and the Cotton Flower & Bio Essential Oil Shower Gel.

They have recently launched their One Skin. One Planet. One Care. mission, making a long term commitment to sustainable skincare and a healthier environment. This includes using sustainably sourced ingredients to using less plastic and more recycled and recyclable materials in their packaging. So I wanted to share my thoughts on the products I’ve tried out so far and whether or not I’d recommend them.

First up is one of their new MagicBAR's and I received the Refreshing Face Cleansing Bar with Almond Oil & Blueberry RRP £5.99* from the range which is suitable for all skin types. It comes in fully recyclable paper packaging which I think is great and it has a vegan formula (no animal-derived ingredients). It's also ph-optimised and soap-free, which I like because I find that facial cleansing bars/soaps can sometimes dry out your skin and the Refreshing Face Cleansing Bar just leaves your skin feeling nicely cleansed and refreshed and doesn't leave you with that tight kind of feeling. They also have a Radiance Cleansing Bar and an Exfoliating Cleansing Bar available as well. So I would recommend giving their MagicBars a try if you're looking for a facial cleansing bar to add to your skincare routine.

Next is the Cotton Flower & Bio Essential Shower Gel RRP £3.99* which is vegan and has a biodegradable formula. It's also suitable for all skin types. It has a nice fresh, clean kind of scent which I like as it's kind of a fail-safe scent to go to. I also like that it's oil-infused because I feel like makes it more hydrating than a standard shower gel which is great if you can't be bothered to do a full body moisturising session after getting out of the shower.

I also received the Naturally Good Natural Hemp Seed Oil & Calming Lotion RRP £7.99* to try. I've actually already tried this body lotion formula as I was sent the Organic Cocoa Butter Body Lotion to try out when it was first released and I really liked it as it has a lightweight formula and sinks in quickly but still moisturised my skin well. I also think it's great how the packaging can be squeezed and rolled to get the very less drop out and the bottle is made out of 50% less plastic. However I'll be honest, I wasn't a big fan of the Natural Hemp Seed Oil & Calming Lotion scent so I gave it to my dad instead for his dry skin and he said it was doing a good job, so yep, there's a mini-review from my dad lol.

The last two products are face creams, first up is the Naturally Good Radiance Day Cream with Organic Aloe Vera RRP £5.99* which I've actually been meaning to pick up for a while as I like the fact that it contains Aloe Vera as it's obviously very calming on the skin and it also contains Jojoba Oil and Almond Oil which are both soothing for the skin. It's also suitable for normal-combination skin types. The formula is on the lightweight side and seems to work for my combination/oily skin. If my skin is being a little grumpy then it's a nice face cream to pop on because it's really soothing on the skin (I can imagine it being a nice cream to use if you've caught the sun too!). So I would recommend this if you're in the market for an affordable soothing face cream.

Lastly is the Naturally Good Regenerating Night Cream with Organic Argan Oil RRP £5.99* which I've actually not tried yet as I feel like my skin will like this more in the colder months when my skin goes a little haywire and doesn't know whether it wants to be oily or dry. I feel like the formula might be a little too rich and heavy for my skin at the moment but I'll make sure to try it out later in the year and let you know my thoughts.

Have you picked anything up from Nivea recently, if so what did you get?
