My First VoxBox From Influenster! | Rimmel London #FreeYourSkin Range

I signed up to Influenster probably about a month or so ago just because I wanted to see what it was all about and also because I knew about the fab opportunities to review new and upcoming products from well-known brands. If you don't know what Influenster is then it's basically an app which was first introduced in the US but it's just recently come over to the UK. You can find reviews for pretty much any product on there and you can also leave your own thoughts and reviews on there along with many other things too. I really like to have a nosey at it when I'm planning on doing a beauty haul, just because you can read reviews altogether, rather than trawling through Superdrug or Boots etc, clicking on each item then reading the reviews. On Influenster you can just search what you're looking for and it's all in one place.

Influenster also does VoxBoxes which contain complimentary products or items for you to try out and review on your social media. If you are active on the app and also have a good amount of influence (followers) then you'll be in with a chance to get a VoxBox. They will send you a survey to fill out before a certain deadline and then if you are selected you will receive a "You're In" email to let you know that your VoxBox is on the way. I must admit I was super shocked, I got the email at about 10pm and it arrived the following morning.

Rimmel have just launched the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Breathable Foundation and also the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Breathable Concealer which I received in the box, which is really exciting to me because I have been loving a more natural looking lately (especially throughout the summer) and I have no intention stopping wearing my go-to natural makeup look anytime soon, plus it's just quicker to apply my makeup in a more natural way.

I also received to complete my look the Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette in the shade 002 Coral Glow which is pretty weird because I was literally looking at this a few weeks ago thinking next time I do an online order at Boots or Superdrug (which has been far too much lately btw lol), I'm going to pick that up to try out.

Lastly in my Voxbox is the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade Vintage Pink which is a gorgeous transitional shade to wear going from Summer to Autumn.

The Lasting Finish 25hr Breathable Foundation RRP £8.99 is Rimmel's most lightweight long-wearing formula and has a light to medium buildable coverage and has up to 20 SPF. I received the lightest shade available - 010 Light Porcelain. It's a little different to other foundations because it has an applicator wand rather than a pump so if you have spot-prone skin like myself then you do have to be aware of where you are applying the foundation. The formula is quite thin and watery so you do have to give the bottle a good shake before use.

The foundation itself applies really nice, if I want a light coverage then I'll apply one layer and then for medium coverage I'll apply two layers or I'll just add more foundation in areas where it's needed. It blends out nicely with a brush more so than a beauty blender I have found. I really like the light floral-ish scent of the foundation (it's the same kind of scent as other Rimmel foundations I've used before). The colour match did look slightly too yellow when I did a swatch on my arm but once it's applied, it actually suits my skin tone perfectly which is a first! The longevity is good but it does slightly break up in my usual oily areas like my nose and chin within about 6-7 hours of wearing it but that's pretty normal for my makeup longevity. I do really like this foundation overall, I think it gives off a really lovely natural, slightly dewy look and I literally cannot feel that I'm wearing any foundation.

Left - Foundation in shade 010 Light Porcelain / Right - Concealer in shade 001 Light Ivory
The Lasting Finish 25hr Breathable Concealer RRP £6.49 is in a squeezy tube, which I'll admit I do tend to avoid due to the fact that whenever I buy concealers in a tube to try out, I always find that you barely get any product inside. But with this concealer, it is actually full. I received the concealer in the lightest shade 001 Light Ivory and it has a sponge applicator which I do like. The concealer itself is slightly sheer (but easy to build up if needed). I find it is great for mainly brightening under the eyes and covering up any small blemishes.

As I mentioned earlier in the post I was going to pick up the Kate Moss Sculpting Palette in the shade 002 Coral Glow RRP £6.99 soon but I was sent it in my VoxBox to try out. I really like face palettes, they're obviously great for travelling and just throwing in your bag if you're running a little late anywhere. Inside the palette, there's a highlighter, contour and blusher. All of them are a perfect shade for paler skin tones. The highlighter is pretty natural looking highlighter with more of a sheen rather than full-on glitter, which is actually exactly what I was looking for. The contour is a cool tone shade and blends out and gives a nice kind of barely-there contour. Finally in the palette is the blush, the blush is a gorgeous pop of coral pink and I have been using it quite a lot since receiving the box. Overall I really like this palette and it's definitely a welcome addition to my makeup collection.

Lastly is the gorgeous Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade Vintage Pink RRP £6.99 which in general is a really pretty shade but it's actually perfect for this time of the year, it's kind of a mauve shade with hints of pink and brown as well as purple. I really like the packaging and the lipstick glides on and doesn't feel at all drying on my lips, I'm definitely going to pick up some more of these lipsticks in different shades.

Overall, I've really enjoyed receiving my first VoxBox and trying out the latest releases from Rimmel London and also the Kate Moss Sculpting Palette and Moisture Renew Lipstick. I literally can't fault any of them and I would recommend on trying out the new foundation/concealer if you're into natural looking makeup which doesn't feel as if you're wearing any makeup at all.

  2. I picked up the concealer just last week and so far I'm really not sure what to think! It's great for under the eyes but I'm struggling with covering spots with it at the moment, I'm suffering with my skin at the moment though. The foundation looks exciting, I love their usual lasting finish foundation so I'll have to give this a go when I've ran out x

  3. This sounds like such a great range, but I'm not keen on how sheer it is. I like more of a full coverage, so I don't think this will be for me. I love the look of the lipstick though!xx

  4. I think I want all of these! That applicator is huge, but that foundation seems perfect for my dry skin! I generally like Rommel foundations too. I also really like the sound of the concealer and it's sponge applicator. It means better than the maybelline age rewind one - I don't like the twisty contraption but this tube seems like it would work!
