Some Makeup Bits I'm Currently Loving

I'm all for healthy, dewy skin right now as my skin is majorly lacking in any type of healthy glow, it's looking very dull but has also been breaking out quite frequently too which is a pain. I also am craving for it to be Spring because Spring is one of my favourite months and I love changing up my makeup for the season. So I thought I would share with you my current go-to glowy makeup picks as well as some new and old favourites in general.

The Essence Fresh & Fit Awake Primer really does awaken your skin and give you the ultimate glowy skin, it's very similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow but hasn't got the bronze tint like the CT Primer. Depending on my skin concerns I can sometimes even get away with wearing the Essence Fresh & Fit Awake Primer on its own. Another added bonus is that it smells gorgeous and fresh, thanks to the cranberry extract present.

For concealing the dark suitcases under my eyes I had to pick up the latest craze in the beauty world which is the new Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer, I currently own C1 and C2 and they both work really well with my skin colour. The coverage is insanely good but it does crease a little so I would say don't skip out on wearing powder if you do pick it up. But for £4 it's a total steal and a must-have in everyone's makeup bag.

For my brows, I've been loving the no-fuss Glossier Boy Brow in Brown. I picked it up in my first Glossier order last year and I've been loving it ever since. It's a cross between a gel and pomade and it really is as good as everybody says.

I got the L'Oreal Paradise Exatic Mascara for Christmas and it is supposed to be a dupe to the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. It's definitely the mascara I've been reaching for the most recently. I don't know why and how but it seems to make my eyes look bluer too which is quite strange but definitely a welcome bonus. I really like how it adds volume and length to my lashes without clumping them up as well.

For blusher I've recently pulled out my favourite Spring/Summer blusher from last year which is the Benefit Galifornia blush which offers a bright pop of pink, I do use this very lightly because it is really pigmented and I really don't want to look like a clown. If I don't use the Galifornia blusher then I can guarantee I'll be using my Glossier Cloud Paints - my favourite is definitely Dusk because it's a gorgeous peachy-bronze shade and it just adds some life to my skin.

My currently favourite highlighter is a new addition to my makeup collection but it's gone straight to the top and it's the Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter in Lunch Money, I just bloody love it. It's the perfect shade for my skin colour, it blends out easily and doesn't emphasise my pores and it gives me the ultimate glowy sheen. The formula is so nice as it's in between a powder and cream and it's honestly fab.

Lastly is the PIXI MatteLast Liquid Lipstick in the shade Matte Beige* I actually love all of the shades in the MatteLast range because they aren't too bold and are perfect for Spring/Summer, they don't dry down completely so they are really comfortable to wear but their staying power is really good.

  1. I *really* need to try Boy Brow -- I keep hearing about it everywhere and it sounds so so good. And I really love Colourpop, it's affordable and they make great products!
