Five Products I've Discovered This Spring

I haven't done a dedicated favourites kind of post for a long time and I thought it was time to change that. I've definitely discovered, as well as rediscovered some new favourites over the past month or two and I just wanted to talk about why I really like them and why I'd recommend them.

First up is the Pixi DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches £22 which are actually a rediscovery as I had kind of abandoned them on my skincare shelf. I started to use them again recently and I forgot how much of a difference they make, especially if you struggle with dark circles under your eyes. Although it's a shame they're not biodegradable and they do seem quite spendy at £22 a pot, in theory, it does work out cheaper to buy the pot of eye patches if you consider the fact that the likes of Garnier and Soap and Glory sell a single eye patch pair for around £3.50. I also got mine from Lookfantastic so I probably got a 15-20% off at the time too because LF always has promos going on.

Next up is the Tropic Unwind Hand Creambalm RRP £12* which I received in a lovely surprise PR parcel a month or so ago and I've been using most nights almost as a kind of a nightly ritual. My sleeping pattern is a mess right now, thanks to my anxiety and also my usual chronic pain issues but around 10-11pm at night, even if I'm not feeling sleepy, I've been spritzing my bed and pillows with a pillow mist, doing my nightly skincare routine whilst the mist is settling and then I apply the Unwind Hand Creambalm which contains aromatherapy oils such as wild lavender, frankincense and chamomile so it's super relaxing. They also have two other Hand Creambalms in the range which I'm interested in trying out too.

I've also discovered a new favourite spring scent from Notebook Fragrances which is their Citrus & Green Tea For Her/For Him EDT RRP £19.99*. It has notes of citrus, green tea and spices, heart notes of jasmine and background notes of white musks, amber and wood. I was a little unsure whether I'd like the scent as sometimes citrus scents can be a bit OTT and smell a little bathroom air freshener-y if you get what I mean, however, this smells lovely and perfect for the spring/summer! It has the right amount of Citrus and the Green Tea adds the fresh, clean element to the fragrance and even though it's an EDT it scent does stick around for a good amount of time. I've also spotted that they have a Peony & White Mush EDT which I'm definitely interested in trying because I love anything Peony scented. Notebook Fragrances are exclusively available from afterbeauty.com.

I do get quite dry heels and I try and keep on top of it by using my Magnitone Well Heeled Pedicure System* all over of my feet, mainly focusing on my heels but I've also discovered the Palmer's Foot Magic Balm* recently which I was sent and it's so good and an absolute steal at £4.99! It's a nice product to use in between my at-home pedicures and it's definitely stopped my heels from getting so dry and cracked. It is quite thick and quite greasy and it also has a strong peppermint scent too (which I personally really like). I apply it after I've had a shower or bath and then put on some moisturising socks or fluffy socks.

I've been using the Fat and The Moon Pimple Mud RRP £11.50* face mask as a spot treatment on any active spots and it works so well as reducing the size of the spot and any redness around the area too. It contains Bentonite Clay, Witch Hazel Extract, Goldenseal Root and Tea Tree Essential Oil and it's honestly one of the best face masks I've used in terms of the results you get. I also love the branding of Fat and The Moon and I can't wait to try out more products from them soon once my kind-of spending ban is over. You can purchase Fat and The Moon products from the natural, organic website Live in The Light and you can get 15% off across the website if you use the code: KIRSTYMILWARD15 (affiliate code).
