A Nivea Skincare Round-Up

Nivea have kindly sent me quite a variety of products recently which is always exciting, some of the products I've tried before or already use in general and some are either new releases or new to me. I thought I'd talk about Nivea skincare and what Nivea products I've been using in my skincare routine recently.

First up is the Pore Purifying Refining Daily Wash* which contains Lactic Acid and is aimed at oilier/spot-prone skin types. I've already raved about this on my instagram recently because it's a really nice cleanser that deeply cleanses your skin without drying it out and also leaves your skin feeling soft and looking glowy. The Lactic Acid micro exfoliates the skin but it's not aggressive in any way, so if your skin is on the sensitive side and you can't use manual kind of exfoliators then I'd highly recommend picking this up.

Another cleanser I've been using here and there is the Naturally Good Micellar Water with Organic Aloe Vera* which has a vegan formula. I really like the Nivea makeup removers in general, my favourite is the MicellerAIR Micellar Water and the MicellAIR Eye Makeup Remover because it effortlessly removes waterproof mascara in seconds - highly recommend! The Naturally Good Micellar Water offering is good but I feel like I need to use a bit more of the product than I usually need when I use other micellar waters/eye makeup removers from Nivea. However, my mum who wears minimal makeup day-to-day has started to use it as well and she really likes it so far and she has very sensitive skin.

The Rose Care Moisturising Gel Cream* with Organic Rose Water and Hyaluronic Acid smells lovely and is a nice inbetween kind of moisturiser with it having a gel texture. It's not super thick and heavy but it's also not thin and runny either. It feels like such a treat to your skin and just leaves your skin feeling refreshed and replenished.

I was hoping that the 2 in 1 Caring Lip Scrub with Aloe Vera* would be a scrubby kind of lip scrub, kind of like the LUSH lip scrubs in terms of the formula but it's more of a gentle lip scrub with naturally derived particles. It still works though and it leaves your lips feeling super soft but I tend to opt for a scrubby lip scrub usually.

I'm already a fan of the Q10 Energy Instant Recharge Sheet Mask*, it's hard to believe that in 10 minutes it "recharges" your skin but it really works!  It leaves you looking a lot more awake and refreshed. They're great if you're having a bit of a blah day or if you haven't slept very well and your skin is showing telltale signs by looking dull.

I was a little worried that the Q10 Plus C Anti-Wrinkle + Energy Skin Sleep Cream* might be quite heavy on my skin with it being a sleep cream because they do tend to be heavier but it's not at all. It melts in my skin as soon as I apply it and I do really feel like it helps to give my skin a bit of a boost. I don't use it every night because I think it might a little too much for my skin and I also like to alternate my moisturisers to make sure they all get used, but I use it a few nights per week at the moment and I do like it. So if you're in the market for a Q10/Vitamin C cream, then I would say try this one.
