It’s no secret on my blog that Dermalogica are one of my favourite skincare brands. I’ve reviewed their latest products and featured their products in favourites and skincare round-ups loads of times over the years which you can take a look at here. They recently launched a product called Daily Milkfoliant* which is basically the sister product to one of Dermalogica’s best sellers, Daily Microfoliant which has been a must-have in my skincare lineup for a couple of years now. Their new Daily Milkfoliant is a calming milk-based oat powder exfoliant that you guessed it, can be used daily if you want to. I’ve been trying it out for a little while now and wanted to share my thoughts on whether I would recommend it or not.

It’s described as a gentle, vegan exfoliating powder with a blend of fruit-based Grape extract, Arginine rich in AHAs and BHAs and Hyaluronic Acid, Saccharide and Atomized Sea Salt which all work together with Coconut Milk for smoother, softer and more vibrant skin.

With it being a powder formula, it’s activated with water, I usually just add the powder to wet hands and apply. Once applied it lathers up slightly and gently exfoliates your skin, I definitely feel like my skin looks and feels smoother and softer after use.

After using it a couple of times per week over the past month or so, I can now say that I personally really like the new Daily Milkfoliant* just as much as my trusty Daily Microfoliant, it’s very gentle on the skin and has a pleasant milky, oat kind of scent, which makes sense given the ingredients.

You can pick up the mini (17g) for just £15 or the full size (74g) for £59 on the Dermalogica website. It does sound on the pricier side at £59 however with it being a powder-based product that you add water to, a little really does go a long way and both the Daily Microfoliant and Daily Milkfoliant have long expiry dates so you don’t have to worry about it ‘going off’ after a couple of months.

Daily Microfoliant does have more ingredients which are suited for someone with an oily, spot-prone skin type like myself and it's good at reducing oiliness, uneven skin tone and signs of ageing but Daily Milkfoliant is a nice exfoliator to use no matter what my skin is doing, whether it's oily, feeling a little dry or feeling more sensitive than usual. It makes your skin feel so soft and hydrated as well as making it look fresher too. If you have sensitive, reactive skin and want a gentle, non-abrasive exfoliator which actively helps to soothe and moisturise your skin then I would recommend trying Daily Milkfoliant.
