Mother's Day lands on the 19th of March this year in the UK so I thought now is the perfect time to post my annual Mother’s Day Gift Guide. I’ve picked out some beauty, lifestyle and home bits which I think would make lovely gifts for your mum or any mother figure in your life.

First up on my list is perfume, my mum is a big perfume lover like myself so it’s always a good go-to kind of gift if I’m a bit stuck for ideas. If your mum or mother figure likes perfume too then I would recommend checking out Avon for more affordable fragrances, particularly if you know what kind of scents she usually opts for. I would also recommend Yardley London as they do body sprays, body mists, EDTs and they have a range of gift sets too. For more expensive perfumes, I would recommend Glossier You EDP which I would describe as a fresh, clean but comforting scent or Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream EDT which smells floral as expected but not in a super overpowering way. It also comes in a pretty bottle, perfect for any vanity table.

Slippers are always an excellent practical gift. Yes, it might seem like a bit of a boring gift, but they’re always needed, aren’t they? Whether it’s some cosy slippers from Matalan or B&M or some fancy UGG slippers, they’re always a useful gift.

I also think a nice scented candle would make a lovely gift, especially alongside a couple of pampering products such as some bubble bath, bath salts and a sheet mask. I tend to opt for more affordable candles these days because I honestly can’t really see a huge difference between a candle from B&M and a Yankee Candle in terms of how scented they are. I also like the candles from H&M, Home Bargains and Primark too.

feather and down pillow mist gift

Feather and Down are one of my favourite brands when it comes to products that help you to relax and destress. My favourites are their Sweet Dreams Pillow Spray and their Sweet Dreams Melting Shower Cream. Both of which have a lovely delicate, calming scent which really does help you to relax your mind.

Another gift which I picked up for my mum for Mother's Day is the Bomb Cosmetics Pretty in Pink Gift Set because she likes treating herself to a bath bomb bath here and there and as much as I love LUSH, I do feel like they’ve gotten quite expensive. For under £10 the Pretty in Pink Gift Set contains 2 fizzing bath balls, 2 bath creamers which are like a bath melt and 1 soap slice which I think is a really good price. Their products are also handmade, made with essential oils and cruelty-free.

magnitone london wipe out remover

If you are hoping to influence your mum or mother figure to be a little more eco-friendly and stop using face wipes and cotton pads then you could pick up the Magnitone Wipeout Microfibre Cleansing Cloths (2 Pack) RRP £15. You don't have to use any product on the cleansing cloth, you just add water and then it turns into a makeup remover which can even remove waterproof mascara and the cloths can be washed and reused literally thousands of times too. They’re honestly great and it still blows my mind how well they work!

You could also pick up the ASPACES 20 Pack Reusable Bamboo Cotton Face Pads with Laundry Bag RRP £8.99 which I’ve been using for a couple of years now and I use them to apply products such as my toners and essences.

I obviously had to add chocolate to my gift guide so I've included Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate because they're one of my faves.

Lastly, I have two Burt’s Bees gift sets that I wanted to talk about and they are the Spring Surprise Gift Set RRP £9.49* which contains a Dragonfruit Lemon Lip Balm and a handy Mini Cuticle Cream, perfect for popping in your bag or having on your bedside table and the In Full Bloom Lip Balm Gift Set RRP £11.99* which contains 4 lip balms in the flavours Beeswax, Strawberry, Tropical Pineapple and Dragonfruit Lemon. Both of the gifts come in lovely bright packaging which is ideal for Mother’s Day and Spring in general. I think Burt’s Bees products always make lovely gifts and they’re also reasonably priced as well for the quality of their products.
