5 TV Shows Coming Soon That I’m Looking Forward To Watching

As we approach the end of summer and in my case, crave the autumn, I thought I would share 5 TV shows that are coming soon that I’m looking forward to watching. I love autumn/winter evenings when you can get all cosy and comfortable and watch tv/movies. It also tends to be a good time of year for new TV shows and seasons to release.

~ This post contains mild spoilers ~

First up is the Season 4 of Sex Education which will be the final season of the much-loved show. I’m kind of sad that it’s ending because it’s such a good show but I’m also looking forward to seeing what happens next. If you’ve been living under a rock and have not watched Sex Education then it’s about a teenager called Otis who is socially awkward and inexperienced in every department regarding sex and relationships. However, his mum is a sex therapist meaning Otis has unintentionally picked up some tips and advice along the way. After he gives the school bully some helpful advice, he ends up setting up a sex clinic at school with "bad girl" Maeve to give out advice and make some money.

Season 4 will be released on the 21st of September on Netflix.

Next up is Only Murders in The Building, however, by the time this post goes live season 3 of Only Murders in The Building will have already begun, however, I’m personally waiting a few weeks so I can watch a couple of episodes in a row as I hate waiting for a new episode to come out each week. I’ve even muted everything to do with the show on my socials to try and avoid spoilers lol. If you’re not familiar with Only Murders in The Building then it’s about it’s about three strangers who live in the same apartment building on the Upper West Side who are all very different to one another and they find out that they all are a fan of true crime and listen to the same true crime podcast each week. This happens when they are kicked out of the building due to a fire alarm and when they return, a suspicious death has occurred. The police quickly declare it’s a suicide but the three strangers think otherwise as things just don’t seem to add up so they decide to team up and investigate the death together and find out more about each other in the process.

Season 3 will be released on the 8th of August on Disney Plus.

Season 3 of Bridgerton will follow Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton’s story. Penelope finally feels ready to move on from her longtime crush Colin after hearing what he said about her in the last season and she starts taking the whole looking for a marriage match more seriously. However, she doesn’t have a lot of confidence when it comes to the matchmaking social season so Colin, whilst trying to make it up to her offers to help her to find a perfect marriage match.

Season 3 of Bridgerton is rumoured to release at the end of the year on Netflix.

The new season of American Horror Story is rumoured to be released before the end of the year. I’ll be honest I haven’t watched AHS for a number of years, I felt like the first three seasons were the best and then it started going downhill. I gave up watching after Roanoke because it was just terrible in my opinion. However, I’m intrigued by the new storyline and also the cast of the new season. The newcomers include Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne and Emma Roberts will be returning as a series regular too. They’re remaining fairly hush about the new series however it’s reportedly inspired by the unreleased novel by Danielle Valentine called Delicate Condition, which is about a woman whose efforts to start a family are thwarted by an unknown figure. I’m guessing it might be tied to previous seasons in some way like a lot of the seasons are.

The release date is to be announced.

Lastly is Season 5 of Brassic which I’m really looking forward to watching as last season ended on a big cliffhanger. The best way to describe Brassic is just wacky, it also kind of reminds me of Shameless which was on back in the day. It follows Vinnie and his skint friends in the fictional town Hawley in Northern England as they find ways to make ends meet by committing petty crimes. Every character has good and bad traits about them and even though they’re committing crimes, you can’t help but root for them (most of the time). It also touches on important topics such as mental health as the main character, Vinnie is bipolar. I think it’s good that the show raises awareness about mental illness and it can help other people understand more about it.

The release date is to be confirmed. Available on Sky Max/NOW.
