I thought I would talk about my go-to summer fragrances on the blog today as fragrances aren’t something I talk about that often and I’m actually a big fan of fragrances and buying new perfumes and I pretty much have a small collection going on at this point. There’s nothing nicer than being complimented on what perfume you’re wearing and the fact you smell nice, is there? So here are my top three favourite perfumes for summer…

First up is Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream EDT RRP £70 which comes in a pretty blue bottle covered in white flowers, making it an ideal dressing table perfume or gift for a loved one. I’ll be honest I’m not the biggest fan of the original Daisy perfume as I find it a little overpowering to the point where it can actually give me a headache but Daisy Dream has a good equal selection of notes from the fruity top notes right down to the woody base. It has top notes of blackberry, grapefruit and succulent pear, heart notes of rich jasmine, lychee and blue wisteria and base notes of white woods, musks and coconut water.

Glossier You EDP RRP £57 has been one of my all-time favourite fragrances ever since it first released, I always have a bottle (or two) in and I’ve still not found anything remotely similar to the scent which I’m not going to lie is a little annoying as it is quite expensive at £57 per 50ml bottle, especially when Glossier are known to only have one sale a year around Black Friday where they usually offer 20% off sitewide, but it is a gorgeous scent and worth it in my eyes. The fragrance has been formulated to smell a little differently on everyone, I find it quite comforting and warm but also slightly clean. It contains top notes of spicy pink pepper, followed by ambrette seeds and ambery ambrox for its woodsy, slightly sweet middle notes and base notes of fresh white floral iris.

Lastly is Philosophy Amazing Grace Ballet Rose EDT RRP £33 which comes in a simple minimalist bottle that is still pretty. I feel like some people shy away from rose scents as they’re worried that the scent may be quite an old-fashioned rose scent but the Amazing Grace Ballet Rose fragrance is more of a delicate, classy rose scent, it’s really lovely. It has top notes of blackcurrant flowers and lychee, heart notes of rose, jasmine, and peony and base notes of pink musk, palissander wood and ambrette seeds.
