A Spring Wishlist

I'm back again with another wishlist and as always, I've put together a list of different things from beauty, fashion, homeware and even a few fitness and health-related things as I'm planning to go on a bit of a health kick which I'll talk more about later in the post.

TW - I will be talking about weight gain, weight loss and healthy eating in this post

Lucy & Yak Brady Bag in Black RRP £24 // Mallows Beauty Unicorn Shave Butter RRP £13.95 // Iconic London Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint RRP £27

First up is the Lucy & Yak Brady Bag in Black which is a bit different to what I usually go for when it comes to an everyday bag but I just think the Lucy & Yak bag is really cute and the perfect size to fit all of your essentials in. I also like that it’s got a handy secret zip pocket on the back for extra protection and it's all available in other colours and patterns.

Next is the Mallows Beauty Unicorn Shave Butter which I’m definitely intrigued by. They claim that the shave butter combats ingrown hairs, prevents shave rashes and leaves you feeling super smooth. Sounds pretty great, right? I also follow Mallows Beauty on insta and I really like how they share normal body images with no editing and talk about normal body things that everyone has or has had in their life such as stretch marks, bad mental health days, acne etc.

I’m in the market for a new skin tint that’s lightweight and natural looking and I recently came across the Iconic London Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint and thought it looked perfect for an everyday makeup base. I will probably wait until it’s on offer somewhere though as it is a little pricey for a skin tint in my opinion. But it does have some good reviews and I definitely prefer a lighter base coverage these days.

Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer in Light RRP £15 // George at Asda Brooklyn Slogan Sweatshirt RRP £14 // Wilko Sunflower Bouquet in Ribbed Vase RRP £13

Another makeup product that I’m in need of is a new bronzer and I’m still yet to try the Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer which so many people seem to rave about. Their Light option looks like a good shade for my pale skin as well, I hate muddy-looking bronzers that don’t blend out nicely.

I don’t know how many sweatshirts I own, but it’s a lot, I just find them so comfortable and cosy. I definitely don’t need to add any more to my 'collection’ but I do really like the look of the Brooklyn Slogan Sweatshirt from George at Asda, it’s such a nice pale dusky pink colour and I always seem to be drawn to anything featuring NYC.

I was convinced I added more than one homeware item to this wishlist when I was putting it together but apparently not… Anyway, around this time of the year when it’s quite gloomy I like to start looking for home decor bits that are nice for the new season to put around the house. George at Asda have got some lovely things in right now (just a fyi!) but I thought the Wilko Sunflower Bouquet is really nice for the price and according to the reviews, it does look pretty realistic.

Fitbit Inspire 2 RRP £44.99 // New Balance 520v7 Trainers in Violet, Lilac and White RRP £70 // Adidas Originals Plus Essentials Leggings in Black RRP £25

So just for context purposes about the next couple of things, I’m about to go on a bit of a health kick because I just want to feel healthier in myself. After multiple years of struggling with my health issues, chronic pain, then obviously dealing with COVID and the restrictions and being extra wary in regards to all that and then unfortunately last year I was having a rough time due to grief along with some other health problems, I just feel like now is a good time for me to try and work on myself and hopefully improve both my physical and mental health. I have gained weight and it's more than I originally thought but it’s not really just about losing weight, the number on the scales or what dress size I am, it’s more about feeling healthier and building my strength back up and getting back into some sort of fitness routine. I know getting into a fitness routine is going to be hard when I don't know how I'm feeling from one day to the next with my chronic pain and the fatigue that comes with it, but I'm willing to give it a good try and see how I get on.

Because of all of the above, I’m wondering whether to get a new Fitbit as my old Fitbit is looking a bit worse for wear now and I’m not even 100% sure if it’s tracking my steps and sleep properly anymore. I don’t need anything super fancy and I don’t like bulky watches, I mostly just use my Fitbit to monitor my steps, calories burned, heart rate and sleep so the Fitbit Inspire 2 will work well for me. It does track a lot of other things too such as your water intake, calorie intake, your monthly cycle and it also receives and reads texts, emails and social media notifications.

I’m also thinking about getting some new trainers just as a bit of extra motivation for my health kick and so I’m as comfortable as I can be whilst working out. I’ve looked at loads of trainers over the past week or so and the New Balance 520v7 Trainers in Violet, Lilac and White are the ones that stick out the most to me and that are within my budget too.

I also want to get some nice new gym leggings as all of my gym leggings are kind of tatty now and I just feel like it’s the perfect time to pick some new leggings up. I’m in two minds about whether to get some basic black kind of leggings like Adidas Originals Plus Essentials Leggings in Black or maybe have a look at some that are more fun and colourful.

Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Petal Poppin RRP £21 // ASOS Design Borg Denim Jacket in Washed Blue RRP £58 // OUAI Rose Hair and Body Oil RRP £26

I’ve got my eyes on the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Petal Poppin as it looks like the perfect pretty pink shade for a paler skin type and I’m still yet to try any blushers from Fenty and I actually prefer a cream blush over a powder blush these days as I feel like they last longer on my skin and they just make your makeup look fresher too.

Although we’re going to be heading into Spring soon (thank god!), I really like the look of the ASOS Design Borg Denim Jacket in Washed Blue and it keeps going into the sale at around £35 but I keep missing out on my size which is annoying. I feel like it’d be good to use in the early Spring time when the weather is deceiving and it looks nice and sunny but it’s still quite cold and it’ll also be good for later in the year when we head back into Autumn again.

And lastly, I saw someone post about the OUAI Rose Hair and Body Oil recently and it reminded me how much I loved it when I tried a travel-size version of it, I remember it smelling really nice and making my hair feel super soft. I personally wouldn’t use it on my body though as I’d end up using it a lot quicker and it is on the more expensive side when it comes to body care but if you fancy treating yourself to a fancy body/hair oil then I would recommend this one.
