I thought I'd talk about some pieces which I've recently added into my wardrobe to last me throughout winter and also into the spring and summer months. I'm not going to lie, I've mainly been living in comfy t-shirts or jumpers and leggings/jeggings lately just because I find it's a good go-to combination when I don't know what else to wear but want to be comfortable and warm throughout the colder season.

First up is the Texas Tuxedo T-shirt from Joanie which I absolutely love! I love how the stripes resemble lined paper and that the "The Texas Tuxedo" writing looks handwritten. I've been wearing it a lot with my mustard coloured chunky knit cardigan and my brown relaxed chunky knit cardigan from Pink Clove* over the past month or so. I also think it looks really nice with the "Ocean Shirt" from Lighthouse Clothing in Washed Denim* especially if I wear it undone for a relaxed, casual look. It's definitely going to be a go-to outfit choice when the weather gets warmer because it's so comfortable and the denim shirt is a perfect added layer for the springtime when the weather can be a bit hit and miss. I'm also planning on wearing the Texas T-shirt under a pinafore dress too in spring/summer.

I also bought the Strange Magic T-shirt from Joanie from the Joanie X Sophia Rosemary collection which just really took my fancy. Again, you can dress it up a little or keep it looking casual. I've mainly been pairing it with a Brown Bobble Cardigan from George at Asda or my oversized cream cardigan from Yours Clothing that I've had for ages and jeggings for a comfy, cosy outfit choice and I think it'll look nice tucked into a denim skirt when the weather gets warmer. But yeah, it's another classic, comfortable crew neck tee from Joanie!

I was in need of a new small-ish bag that would fit my phone, cardholder, earphones and any other essentials in. I did buy a real leather saddle bag with a buckle fastening from Berber Leather towards the end of last year and I do really like it but I just feel like my phone doesn't feel completely safe in it because it doesn't have a zip in the main section. I also tend to carry CBD oil around with me when I'm out and about for my pain and I worry that it's going to fall out and smash too. So I decided to pick up the Tan Camera Bag from Boohoo which I think was about £8 in the sale and it's actually pretty good quality for the price and I just feel like my belongings feel a lot safer now.

I also have two more striped t-shirts in this little clothing haul because I literally have an obsession with stripe t-shirts for some reason. I did have a dabble wearing a lot of polka dots towards the end of last year but I'm back to wearing stripes again now haha. I got two more t-shirts from Lighthouse Clothing and they are the Seashore T-shirt in Midnight Stripe* priced at £9.99 and the Causeway Tee in Navy Multi Stripe* priced at £19.95. I am an awkward size and can vary between three different dress sizes depending on where I shop, so I decided to opt for a size 20 in all of the clothes from Lighthouse Clothing (which is the biggest size they offer) and they do just fit me nicely in a fitted but still comfortable way. Both of the t-shirts are super soft as they're made from 95% cotton and 5% spandex and I decided to go for the blue and white stripe t-shirt (Seashore) because I think the colours suit me and I already have a long sleeve blue and white long sleeve t-shirt that I wear a lot so I thought the short sleeve would be good for spring/summer. I'm also still on the lookout for brown corduroy trucker jacket preferably with a detachable sherpa collar and I think it would go really nicely with the navy and white stripe tee.

Then I decided to choose the Causeway Tee in Navy Multi Stripe* because I realised a lot of the things in my wardrobe are all very similar in colour (it's mostly mustard, navy and khaki) and I don't have a ton of colour going on in my wardrobe right now and obviously, the Causeway tee has a pink neckline, some colourful contrast stripes on the pocket and then the back also has the same colourful contrasting stripes too. I just love this tee so much and it's a nice way to inject some bright colours into my outfit without going OTT. I think it goes really nicely with the Ocean Shirt in Washed Denim* from Lighthouse Clothing too. I also have an oversized cream cardigan that I'm planning on wearing it with aswell when the weather gets a bit warmer. It's definitely a new fave in my wardrobe!

Another piece I bought recently is the Khaki Bobble Front Jumper from Asda George. Its neckline is a little higher to what I'm used to when it comes to jumpers but now I've worn it a couple of times, I've gotten used to it. It's a super simple throw on and go kind of jumper but you could style it up with a statement necklace and maybe even a collared shirt underneath because apparently, big statement collars are back in again. It looks nice with leggings and jeans so it gets a big thumbs up from me and I love that it has ballooned sleeves aswell.

Lastly is the Merino Scarf in Night Sky Grape Stripe* from Lighthouse Clothing which I'm going to be teaming up with my denim jackets or chunky knit cardigans during the spring. You know when the weather is being a bit deceiving and it looks really nice and sunny when you look out of the window but once you leave the house, it's freezing? That's when I'm going to be putting the merino scarf to use because it's really warm and cosy with it being made from 100% merino wool. I also like that the pattern isn't too busy so you can wear it with multiple outfits without it clashing drastically.

An A/W Clothing Wishlist

in , , , , by Kirsty Milward, 23.10.19
I thought it was about time I did another clothing wishlist on here because I'm pretty sure I haven't done one for a couple  of months and there's definitely a few autumn/winter bits that I have my eyes on right now.

New Look Dark Brown Teddy Jacket - £39.99 / New Look White Celestial Eclipse Slogan T-shirt - £8.99 / ASOS Design Curve Boyfriend Shirt in Mustard and Ivory Check - £25 / Vero Moda Curve Chevron Print Jumper - £28

First up is the Teddy Jacket from New Look which in theory I love the look of and I think if you can pull them off, they look great. I also like that they look super cosy and warm. However, I can't help but think it's a bit Del Boy-esque if you get what I mean.

Next is a pretty Celestial looking t-shirt which I think would look great paired with one of my patterned cardigans, such as my leopard print one which I've been wearing to death since the weather has gotten colder. I also think the t-shirt would look great paired up with the Boyfriend Shirt in Mustard and Ivory Check from ASOS. I want to get back into wearing oversized shirt because they're a good way to layer up without making yourself look super bulky.

And I really like the look of the Vero Moda Chevron Print Jumper which has been hanging about in my wishlist on ASOS for a while. I think it's quite pricey at £28 as it looks quite thin, so I'm waiting to see if it gets reduced a little. But I do really like the colours and chevron print.

ASOS Design V Neck Stripe Smock Dress - £22 / Daisy Street Plus Padded Jacket in Ditsy Heart Print - £44.99 / Daisy Street Plus Relaxed Sweatshirt in Vintage Detroit Print - £19.99 / Daisy Street Plus Cardigan in Stripe Knit - £24.99

The V Neck Stripe Smock Dress from ASOS isn't really an A/W dress but I think you could potentially get away with wearing it with tights and some boots to make it look a bit more suitable for A/W. Although smock dresses do absolutely nothing for my body shape, they're so comfortable and you don't have to worry about looking bloated and things like that.

Next is another hmmm kind of pick because again in theory I love the look of puffa jackets or as Daisy Street like to call it "padded jacket" but I feel like I may look like the Michelin man if I was to put it on. I really like the cute little hearts and I honestly think that's what's pulling me in because if it was a plain puffa jacket, I'd probably scroll past it.

Something else I've been loving since the weather has gotten colder is sweatshirts, I do love a sweatshirt! I'm actually wearing one that's purposely two sizes too big as I'm writing this and I am feeling super cosy! The Daisy Street Relaxed Sweatshirt in Vintage Detroit Print is simple but nice. I think with the vintage inspired print on the front, it makes it look a lot more expensive. I think at £19.99 it's a steal and it'd look great with a pair of jeans and some nice chunky boots.

I've just realised as I'm writing this that I've got three Daisy Street picks in a row, oops! I can tell I started writing this post late at night. Oh well, nevermind. I'm also loving the look of the Stripe Knit cardigan and I think the yellow would just boost my mood if I was having a crappy day, you know what I mean? It'd look nice with simple printed tees like the Celestial one I mentioned earlier and it just looks like a good cardigan to just throw on and go.

New Look Off White Check Pinafore Dress - £22.99 / ASOS Design Armour Chain Lace Up Boots in Black - £35 / New Look Grey Marl "Be Kind" Slogan Sweatshirt - £17.99 / Missguided Plus Rainbow Pastel Stripe Jumper - £25

I really love the look of the New Look Check Pinafore and I think it looks really nice how it's styled with a long sleeve white t-shirt, I also think it'd look good with a black t-shirt too. I just think pinafore dresses are a good way to layer up in the autumn and winter and also to make you feel a bit girly. I love the look of the ASOS Lace Up Boots but because I have quite chunky legs, I always struggle with buying boots and I don't know if they'd actually fit me. But I'm pretty sure I've seen some wide fit ones on ASOS somewhere and technically they should be wider all over.

Another sweatshirt I thought looked cute is the Be Kind slogan sweatshirt from New Look. It just looks like a good sweatshirt to throw on and it comes with a nice inspiring message too. Lastly is the Missguided Rainbow Pastel Stripe Jumper which I'm obsessed with. I think I'm going to have to buy this soon to try because it's just my cup of tea. Hopefully it's not a boxy kind of fit because I hate jumpers like that.

My Go-To Comfortable Clothing Pieces *

in , , by Kirsty Milward, 19.8.19
-This post is in collaboration with justyouroutfit, all opinions are my own-
I love feeling comfortable and I do tend to buy my clothes a dress size or two bigger than my actual dress size just so that I feel extra comfortable. I also find feeling comfortable in what I'm wearing helps with my chronic pain a lot of the time too. So I thought I'd share my go-to clothing pieces that I wear either in the house as loungewear or when I'm out and about when I want to be super comfortable.

As I'm writing this the weather is a bit miserable, grey and kind of cold so over the past few days I've been wearing a cosy sweatshirt and either pyjamas bottoms or pyjamas shorts and I'd say it's one of my go-to outfits when I'm at home. It's cosy and comfortable and that's basically all I want in an outfit when it's a bit colder.

I also like to wear tracksuits as loungewear around the house or when I have to nip out of the house. I think it's mainly because I find jogger bottoms comfortable when I'm having a bad chronic pain flare up and I'm a fan of both hoodies and sweatshirts so I can mix it up a little if I want to. I also find that buying a tracksuit works out cheaper than buying the hoodie/sweatshirt and joggers separately a lot of the time and I love saving myself some money too. You can buy both women's and men's loungewear tracksuits at justyouroutfit.

I have quite a few smock dresses and T-shirt dresses in my wardrobe right now that I wear both in the house and out of the house. Smock dresses may not be the most flattering on my body shape but they are so comfortable! So I'm kind of just like "sod it" and wear them anyway. T-shirt dresses are effortless and a good piece to just throw on and go. I tend to buy plain T-shirt dresses and then dress them up with jewellery and a denim jacket.

One of my go-to comfortable outfits is definitely just a t-shirt and some leggings sometimes paired with a denim jacket or a chunky knit cardigan depending on the weather. I just feel like it's an easy outfit to throw on and go. I'm a big fan of slogan t-shirts and I'm currently really into t-shirts with mystical looking things like moons, suns and stars.

Lastly is one mainly for the autumn/winter months which is a cosy jumper with some leggings or jeggings. I don't find jeans very comfortable because I have quite chunky legs. So I just stick to leggings and jeggings because they're extra stretchy lol. This is another outfit that I like to keep pretty plain and simple and then make it look a bit more put together by adding jewellery like a statement pendant necklace or a pretty scarf.

What are your favourite go-to comfortable clothing pieces?

-This post is in collaboration with Quiz Clothing, all opinions are my own-
I really like Spring and Summer but for someone who is plus size and doesn't like to show off her arms, tummy area and legs it can be quite hard to shop for clothes in the warmer seasons. I have started to wear more dresses lately just to try and get used to having my legs out in front of strangers more. I do have chunky legs, I always joke that they are basically like logs but they've always been on the chunkier side so I'm just like "whatever" now. If you don't like the look of my legs then just look away haha. So in today's post I'm talking about 8 staple pieces I want to put into my Spring/Summer wardrobe this year.

Quiz Curve White Navy and Red Je Suis T-Shirt £16.99 / Missguided Plus Oversized Denim Jacket in Blue £45 / ASOS Design Jally Wide Fit Two Pack Espadrilles £20 / River Island Plus Mini Skirt in Mid Wash £32

I love a stripe t-shirt and I also love and own many slogan t-shirts too so when I came across the Je Suis T-shirt at Quiz I obviously mentally added it to my basket for a later date. Quiz Clothing have so many nice plus size tops right now from casual wear to smart looking dressy tops too and I'm definitely going to be placing an order with them soon. For cooler days I tend to wear one of my denim jackets but I really liked the look of the Missguided one I came across. It looks nice and oversized and I like the distressed look of it too. I know they're not to everyone's taste but I find Espadrilles really comfortable and the Two Pack I found on ASOS is a bargain. One pair is just plain back and the other pair have a cute palm tree design on them. I'm also still on the lookout for a skirt which doesn't make me look bigger or isn't super long on me and I've been failing miserably so far. I really like the look of the River Island one and with it being a Mini Skirt it won't be super long on me like basic length ones are as I'm only 5'3 (on a good day).

Pink Clove Wrap Dress in Dalmatian Spot Print £24 / Quiz Curve Navy and Cream Heart Print Top £24.99 / Pull&Bear Faux Leather Flat Sandals in Tan £19.99 / New Look Curve Floral Joggers in Black Pattern £15.99

I'm really into wrap dresses right now (as long as they fit me nicely on the boob area!) and I think they actually suit my shape too and they're comfortable when I'm feeling bloated. I really like the look of the Pink Clove Dalmatian Spot Print dress and I think it'd look nice paired with a denim jacket on more casual days too. But you could also dress it up easily too. I also came across another pretty top whilst browsing Quiz Clothing which is the Curve Navy and Cream Heart Print Top which I think would like nice if you need to dress up smartly for an occasion or even if you have an office job or something. It's also that time of the year when I become a bit obsessed with Tan coloured sandals. So far I've found a few I like but I think the Pull&Bear ones are my fave looking ones right now. They look comfortable and would suit a lot of outfits. Lastly are the New Look Curve Floral Joggers which I think I may cave and buy really soon. I love these type of joggers in the warmer weather because they are comfortable, thin (but not too thin) but also look cute.
