Sulphur Skin Care Natural Cream Review

Sulphur Skin Care are based in West Yorkshire and they sell natural, cruelty-free products - Natural Cream, Bath Salts and they also sell Harrogate Sulphur Soaps, Body Wash, Face Wash, Shampoo and Body Lotion too. They also offer free delivery to the UK on their SSC range.

I received the Sulphur Skin Care Natural Cream All Over Moisturiser* (50ml) to review. It states on the website that it's suitable for people who suffer with Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Soothing sunburn, prickly heat, spots, blackheads, whiteheads, cracked heels and rashes. It can also be used as an insect repellent too.

I was looking forward to trying this as a part of my skin care routine as I do often breakout (especially due to stress/hormones etc). It's in a whipped cream formula with a lemongrass fragrance. It has natural antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

Ingredients-
Butrospermum Parkil (Shea Butter), Prunus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Sulphur 5%, Cymnopogon Flexuosus (Lemongrass) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Rosemarinnus Officinallis (Rosemary) Oil, Daucus Carota (Carrot Seed) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, pH Balanced.

I used this on my face for a few days and I realised it was breaking me out a little. I think because the formula is quite thick and contains Shea Butter, it wasn't agreeing with my oily skin. So I stopped using it on my face and began to use it as a hand moisturiser instead, it works really well as a hand moisturiser and it sinks into my skin quickly and my hands feel so soft. It smells lovely, if you're familiar to the Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter from LUSH then this smells just like that. It's also a great size for travelling and popping in your bag too. I will definitely continue to use it and I'm looking forward to trying it as a insect repellent once the weather gets a little better and all the annoying insects come out.

Overall I do really like this product but just not as a face moisturiser but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work for you. I think this would be better for people with normal/dry skin type and it is very moisturising and I prefer light moisturisers usually. I'm yet to try it on my elbows where I sometimes have an Eczema flare up because I haven't had a flare up in a while but I will definitely be trying it when/if it does flare up again.

  1. My skin has responded well to both sulfur and shea butter, but I'm a bit concerned about the essential oils in it being a potential irritant for my fussy skin. Thanks for this review!

  2. Tretinoin is formulated as either of liquid, cream or gel. It is commonly prescribed to be used daily at night or once for a number of days. It is very important that you should follow the dosage prescribed by your dermatologist so that its effect will be safe and effective.
