I reviewed some products from handmade and cruelty-free brand Fat & The Moon on my blog here last year and since then they've changed up their packaging a little and added more products to their evergrowing range so I'm back again with a review of three more products from them which are all available via Live in The LightTheir products are all handmade in California and their founder created the brand for people who prefer to use natural but effective alternatives to chemical-filled products. The brand is all about self-care, self-love and healing which I really like.

Before I talk about each product I was sent to try, I've got to say that I'm loving the upgraded packaging, although I did like the old packaging as well, the new glass bottles are really nice and look lovely on my bathroom shelf.

The Light as a Featha Cleanser RRP £10.50* is a mild exfoliant cleanser which comes in powder form so you just have to mix a small scoop in your hands with a small amount of water which then turns it into the cleanser. It contains honey which has anti-bacterial properties, rhassoul clay which helps to draw out impurities and coconut which is lovely and moisturising. I really like this cleanser, especially if my skin is feeling a little more of the sensitive side. I also think that the honey and rhassoul clay help to reduce and settle any new spots as well. My skin hasn't been great lately but I think it's a mixture of eating leftover chocolate and sweets from Christmas and stress, so I have been breaking out a little bit more than usual.

The Mermaid Mask RRP £16.50* is inspired by a raw dessert that went oh so wrong. The Mermaid Mask is a multiuse product which works as a mask for both your hair and skin. It contains Irish moss, honey, rhassoul clay and aloe vera. To use it as a face mask you need 1 teaspoon of Mermaid Mask and a few tablespoons of hot water, massage into your skin and leave on for at least 20 minutes to achieve glowy, cleansed skin. To use as a hair mask you need 2 tablespoons of Mermaid Mask, 1 cup of hot water and then stir well and apply and leave on or 20 minutes. You can also store any remaining mask in the fridge and it will last for a week.

I've tried using the Mermaid Mask both ways and I must admit, I prefer to use it as a face mask over hair mask and I feel like I get better results when using it as a face mask. It's also a bit more awkward to apply as a hair mask over a regular hair mask such as my go-to Lee Stafford Keep it Clean Replenishing Mask as it has a runnier consistency than what I'm used to. However I think it's a great face mask, it leaves you looking glowy and also helps with pimples without drying out your skin so I would still recommend it.

Lastly is the Self Care Bath Soak RRP £14.95* which is one out of three bath soaks available from Fat & The Moon. The mineral-based soaks keep the ingredients suspended in the water rather than sinking straight to the bottom of the bath. The Self Care Bath Soak contains Clary Sage and Lavender but the smell of the bath soak isn't overpowering at all which I like because some Lavender containing products can be a bit too much and give me a headache. You only need 2-3 (or more if you wish) scooped tablespoons per bath. The Self Care Bath Soak is basically what it says on the tin, it's super relaxing and makes your bath water really soft and silky. It's a lovely product to use at the end of a stressful day when you just need to take some time out.
