Things I've Been Loving Recently...

I haven’t done a favourites post for a few months so I thought it was time that I shared some of the things that I’ve been loving recently. I’ve discovered a hair care range that I’m obsessed with, a new Switch game that I can’t put down, a face moisturiser that’s perfect for oily skin, especially during the warmer months as well as a couple of rediscoveries too.

First up is the Nivea Derma Skin Clear Face Wash Gel* which contains three of my fave active skincare ingredients which are Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid and Glycolic Acid. Considering how cheap the face wash is, it’s really helped to clear up my skin. I saw the most improvement in my skin after I had Covid as my skin was a complete mess due to being unwell. My skin isn’t 100% clear but it’s definitely clearer than normal throughout the month and I feel like it looks a lot more even than it did before using the range. I’ve already picked up a new bottle ready for when my current one runs out as it was on offer for about £3 on Amazon which is an absolute steal! I recommend checking out my Nivea Derma Skin Clear Range review if you’re struggling with active breakouts or hormonal spots etc as they have multiple products in the range to choose from.

Another skincare favourite is the Facetheory Supergel Moisturiser* which is a lightweight oil-free gel moisturiser that has been specially formulated for oily/acne-prone skin types. It contains Niacinamide which helps to reduce pore size, Salicylic Acid which helps to relieve congestion, Chamomile, Aloe Vera and Green Tea extracts which all help to soothe the skin, as well as Stabilised Vitamin C which brightens the skin whilst fighting acne. With it being lightweight it sinks in quickly but it’s still really hydrating and with it being a gel-like consistency, a little seems to go a long way too.

I recently picked up the shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner from the new Tresemme Beauty-Full Strength range and I’ve been loving all three! The range smells really nice, kind of like a mild coconut scent and it features ProPlex Fortifiant which gets deep in your hair fibre to reinforce its structure from within and it can help to reduce up to 99% hair on your brush. I’ve definitely seen a difference since using the products all together, my hair looks healthier and I’ve already seen an improvement in my natural daily hair loss. I need to pick up the serum ASAP.

I’ve also rediscovered the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in Rose De Jaspe 95 which is a lovely glowy pink blush shade which blends seamlessly into your skin. It’s perfect if you want to achieve a glowy summer makeup look

Another product that I’ve rediscovered is the Missguided Real Babe Body Mist* which smells so nice! It’s perfect for this time of the year. It contains top notes of Pineapple, Pink Pepper and Citruses; middle notes are Jasmine and Ambrette and base notes are Tonka Bean, Amber and Musk. It’s not an overpowering scent and it lasts pretty well on your skin. I’ve got the EDP* as well which smells a little stronger. I would 100% recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable scent this summer.

Lastly is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom which is the latest addition to the Zelda series and the sequel to one of my favourite games The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. This time around, although the game is set in the same world, a lot has changed. There’s a new storyline, new monsters to fight, lots of new areas to explore including the sky islands, the underground depths and also caves that are dotted throughout Hyrule. There are also new abilities that Link can use which you gain at the beginning of the game on the sky islands. The abilities are Ascend, Recall and Ultrahand, all of which come in handy throughout the game whether it’s the shrines, completing side missions or when you’re defeating monsters. The world also feels a lot more alive as there’s more going on and plenty more things to do. I’ve already put quite a few hours in and I haven’t even started the main storyline yet as I’ve just been exploring, collecting things, completing shrines to build up my heart and stamina chambers and completing side quests. It’s such a good game if you’re looking for an open-world adventure game and it’s 100% worth the price tag.

  2. This is such a fun idea for a post! I suffer from oily skin a lot in the summer so I'm definitely going to look into the moisturiser, and I've been looking for a new spray so I might have to try the Missguided one! Thank you so much for sharing x
