I talked about female-founded wellness brand Our Remedy on my blog last year when I reviewed their Moon Swings CBD Oil before they rebranded their packaging. Since then they have grown even more as a brand and have recently released their latest CBD oil blend called ‘Pretty Peaceful’ which has been created to help settle your mind and body from anxiety, stress and to also help you to sleep. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now so I feel like I’ve used it for a long enough time to give you my full thoughts on whether I think it helped at all.

If you're a regular reader of my blog or follow me on my blog's instagram or my private instagram where I talk more about my day-to-day life living with chronic pain then you'll know that I swear by CBD products for my chronic pain, suspected endometriosis and my anxiety. I started using CBD after I became allergic to NSAID's after I had a severe allergic reaction to Mefenamic Acid which I was prescribed for my pelvic pain. Since that happened, I've basically been too scared to try any new prescription painkillers I've been offered by my doctor because I'm absolutely terrified of having the same reaction because I literally couldn't breathe properly, my heart rate was going crazy and I had an all-over itchy rash too. Obviously, CBD is natural and it's known for its anti-inflammatory properties and I do find that it does help with my day-to-day pain and my anxiety. My go-to CBD oil is the 600mg Oral Drops in the Berry flavoured from BeYou just because I really like the Berry flavour and it also works out cheaper than other CBD brands on the market as it's only £19.99 for a 30ml bottle which really is a bargain. I've also tried their Natural flavoured 300mg CBD Spray* which you can read about in this blog post. They recently sent me over their 1200mg CBD* to try out in the Lemon flavour which is the next strength up from 600mg that BeYou offer, so in this post, I'm going to be talking about how I've got on with the 1200mg Oil and whether or not I actually like the Lemon flavour.

When I got the opportunity to try Our Remedy's 500mg CBD* which is a vegan and cruelty-free CBD oil specifically made for periods and all the lovely things that come along with having a period such as mood swings, bloating, increased anxiety etc, I just had to give it a try! Even though I very rarely get a period any more thanks to the pill I'm on, I still get what I call phantom periods occasionally when my mood is all over the place, my chin grows a couple of hormonal mountains (aka spots) and I feel really bloated and crampy. Adding to that I've also obviously got my chronic pelvic pain/suspected endometriosis which affects my day-to-day life too.

I'm sure you probably know by now that I'm a big fan of BeYou, their CBD products really help with both my period pain and my chronic pain and their monthly patches are fab too. They reached out to me recently and asked if I would be interested in trying out their new CBD Gummy Bears which are exclusive to Superdrug along with their 300mg CBD Spray which are both products I'd never tried from BeYou before, so I obviously yes, please! I've been using them both for a little while now and I wanted to talk about how I've been getting on with each of them.

Naturopathica are a CBD brand that I am already familiar with as I buy their lozenges regularly as they're super handy to pop in your bag when you're out and about and help both my chronic pain and anxiety. They now have a range of different CBD+ capsules to try. There's Mind, Unwind, Night, Tumeric, Digestion and Wellbeing to choose from. I decided to choose Wellbeing* to try because they claim the capsules help to support the immune system as the capsules contain 5mg CBD, Vitamin A, B1, C, D2, B12 and E. Each bottle is priced at £39.99* and you get 30 capsules per bottle and take one per day. Here is how I got on with using them...

In today's post I'm talking about CBD again but in a whole different form to what I'm used to using. Over the past couple of weeks, I've been testing out Budslife CBD Patches*. Each of their patches contains 16.7mg of CBD and 0.001 mg THC and slowly release CBD into your bloodstream for up to 8-10 hours. Here's more about how I got on with using them...

I'm sure by now you will know that I like to try out different CBD brands and products on the market. I also know a lot of people read my blog who suffer from similar chronic pain/illnesses to me as well as anxiety and I do get DMs frequently about using CBD. In today's post, I'm talking about two products from Herts Hemp which are their CBD drops and CBG drops which I'd actually never heard of before until now.

I’m sure by now you’ll know that I use CBD products to help ease my chronic pain and anxiety. But I’m always up for trying out different brands and strengths and so on. I like to test out and review different brands on my blog as I do get a lot of DMs about using CBD and I want to point people in the right direction in terms of which I've found worked for me and which I found didn't work for me. I also like to let people know which have *that* earthy taste and which don’t and things like that. So I’ve recently been testing out Brown's CBD Hemp Oil in the 10%/1000mg strength* and I feel like I've tried it long enough now to give my overall thoughts.

The Brown's Golden CBD Oil priced at £39.99* is decarboxylated and filtered for optimum purity, CBD concentration and taste. It's a full-spectrum oil and contains 1000mg of CBD/CBDA, Organic Cold-Pressed Hemp Seed oil and a range of other supporting cannabinoids such as CBDV, CBG, CBC, THC (less than 0.2%) and more. The oil goes through an extra filtration process which gives it a smoother taste and a more golden colour than many other CBD oils. I personally didn't find the taste to be too strong and off-putting but I know some people are a little iffy about earthy tasting CBD oil. If you do find yourself with a CBD oil that has a strong taste then you can pop it in your tea/coffee to disguise the taste so that you don't waste the oil and so that you can still get the benefits from it.

The oil is also vegan certified, 100% natural, gluten-free, contains no additives and is also HPLC lab tested and at a pharmaceutical quality level. They recommend 1-10 drops 2-3 times per day and the bottle contains approximately 200 drops. I personally think you kind of just have to figure out what works for you in terms of dosage, as long as you're within the recommended dose. I guess it depends on your build and how your body takes the CBD too. I find I use less amount of drops when I use a stronger CBD oil such as a 10% one because it's obviously stronger. So I've personally found that 4-5 drops per day is enough for me for my daily chronic pain and also anxiety which is good. I tend to take it when I feel my pain is at its worst because then I can feel the difference when it's settling down which is always a nice feeling. I've also been a bag of nerves over the past couple weeks because I had a doctor's appointment booked that I'd been putting off since June and I was worried my doctor was going to switch up my medication again as well as some other things I was worried about. So when I was really stressing out a few days before my appointment, I found the CBD oil really helps to calm my mind and stopped me from overthinking which was obviously great.

Overall I would say that the Brown's CBD oil is a good one and I think it's priced well at £39.99 for a 1000mg in a 10ml bottle because when I first started using CBD I was buying a 500mg oil in a 10ml bottle for £40! The price also includes free UK delivery. So you're literally getting double for the price I was paying at the time. It's definitely the oil I'm going to be reaching for on my really bad pain/anxiety days because I do feel like it packs a punch and really helps to reduce my pain and also anxiety levels. It does have a bit of an earthy taste but it's definitely not as strong as some I've tried before. If you're interested in this oil or any other products they offer then check out their website. They also have a really helpful FAQs section if you want to find out more information.

I've already talked about Naturopathica before when I tried their Citrus flavoured CBD Lozenges for the first time but I recently got an email asking if I'd be interested in trying out their Natural Strawberry flavoured 350ml CBD oil*. Although I usually prefer a higher strength CBD oil for my daily pain I thought it sounded interesting and strawberry is one of my favourite fruits. Because I have been using a CBD balm recently I thought I could use the CBD balm for my chronic pain (on my pelvic bone and lower back) and then use the 350ml CBD oil for my anxiety and/or sleeping problems to test it out properly.

What I love most about the Naturopathica 350ml CBD oil* is that it tastes exactly like strawberry. It doesn't taste fake or over the top and it also doesn't leave a "natural" CBD after taste like some flavoured CBD oils do. I'm personally not that bothered about the taste of CBD oil because I know it helps my pain, so I'd rather put up with the taste and help relieve the pain a little. But I know some people don't like the taste of CBD and that's what puts them off trying it long-term.

I've found the the Naturopathica CBD oil has done well in terms of helping to calm my mind when I'm feeling super stressed and believe me, it's definitely been put to the test over the past couple of weeks! I also find it helps settle my mind a little before I go to sleep which helps me to get to sleep because my brain likes to overthink things a lot at night. I do hope to see a stronger strength version at some point but I would repurchase when it runs out because I really like the taste and I did find it helped with my anxiety. So because of that I would recommend it trying it out if you're wanting to try a lower strength CBD oil.

I'm sure by now that you're aware of how I've basically become dependant on CBD oil as I find it's the best natural pain reliever for my chronic pelvic and back pain and after having a severe reaction to Mefenamic Acid and then finding out that I can no longer take Ibuprofen which is usually my go-to pain relief as it's in the NSAID family, I decided to try out CBD oil around November time last year after having the severe allergic reaction to Mefenamic Acid. This is because Paracetamol doesn't do much for the pain and Co-Codamol just makes my stomach feel weird so I was just stuck for pain relief and I was also super nervous about trying out any new prescribed medication my doctor may offer after having such a bad reaction (I legit thought I was having a stroke and/or dying as I couldn't breathe, I had chest pain and I was having tremors, it was so scary!). I then tried CBD and I've honestly not looked back since. It definitely helps my daily pain and makes my bad flare up days more bearable. I don't find that CBD helps as much with my back pain for weird reason, I don't know if it's because it's a nerve problem(?) and not just an achy back if that makes sense. There's an achy back and then there's a bad back and I deal with the latter on a daily basis. It's just pretty much become the norm for me now but it does limit my abilities but some days are better than others so I just kind of figure it out as I go along. CBD has definitely been an amazing discovery in terms of helping my pelvic pain which I suspect is endometriosis which is a chronic gynaecological disorder which unfortunately doesn't have a cure.

I'm always talking about how CBD has really helped with my chronic pains, anxiety and sleeping problems and although I'm still in pain daily using CBD has definitely taken the edge off my daily pain and has literally stopped me being basically bed bound like I was for the majority of last year. Throughout last year I received minimal help and advice from the many doctors and other healthcare professionals I saw and although I'm 95% sure I have endometriosis and I think I've actually had it since I was a early teen. I've just been constantly fobbed off by everyone and passed around like a parcel and just been told it's "chronic pain" which basically means you've had pain in this particular area for over a certain amount of months so yep, it's chronic. I just feel extremely let down by the people who are supposed to help. So I've taken matters into my own hands for now and I'm just going along with it as best as I can and I'm taking CBD oil daily and I've also started on the pill to see if it'll relieve my pelvic pain and I tend to use a hot water bottle daily and my TENS machine most days too.

I'm sure by now if you read my blog often or follow me on social media then you'll know that I have chronic pelvic pain and back pain and I am in pain every day with it. I've recently discovered CBD oil which is the first thing which has actually helped the pain which I have not been allergic to. The only problem is that it's quite pricey and I get through 2-3 bottles per month as I take it daily because my pain is that severe most days. So when I got the opportunity to try Salve Herbal CBD Hemp Oil Drops* which are priced at £19.99 I was very intrigued to see if their drops work for me as their prices are the cheapest I've come across so far.

I've been debating on trying CBD oil for my chronic back and pelvic pain for a while now but for various reasons I've been scared to try it. I was worried I would splash my money on it and then it wouldn't work or I'd need to take most of the bottle for it to actually kick in and work for me and it does seem quite pricey for the amount you get. It's also quite a touchy subject and I've spoken to other people about trying CBD and if they have tried it themselves and some said yes they have and it's worked wonders, whilst others have said that they had mixed feelings about it. Also a few said that they don't like the idea of using CBD which I totally understand too. But I feel like my options are running out for pain relief, I'm in pain daily with my lower back and also pelvic area (basically my ovaries, pelvic bone, hips and upper legs hurt every day). The only medication which helped the pain (Mefenamic Acid) made me have a severe allergic reaction twice which actually scared the hell out of me. The useless and rude gynaecologist I saw wouldn't listen to my many obvious symptoms of endometriosis and just said that I have "chronic pelvic pain" which was so helpful... not. My daily abilities are limited and some days just getting out of bed and having a shower or bath is a little victory. It's been a huge shock to the system. I mean I've never been the most active type of person but now I'm struggling to do simple day-to-day life things most days and it's upsetting and it does really get me down.
